"The hotel is new so everything was in perfect condition. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. We had a king suite and I enjoyed it more than any other chain hotel we have stayed in. It was very clean and comfortable and everything we needed was available. They even had a small restaurant right in the hotel so you didn’t have to go out if you didn’t want to."

"The Francis Marion hotel is a beautiful historic hotel in Charleston, SC! Every member of their staff was so kind, helpful, and happy! The room was just the right size! The bathroom was a little small. We stayed in a 2-bedroom queen. The views from our room were beautiful! We walked EVERYWHERE! King St is in a great location! There is a free bus that stops right by the hotel! I would recommend parking at a nearby lot that we found out was free on our last day! The parking garage is not affiliated with the hotel, does not allow the ability to come & go, & the hours start over at midnight. $24/8 hours. If you take the car out at 10 and bring it back at 6, you’ll pay $24 on your way out. The next day you’ll owe $18 for those 6 hours (6-midnight). Just a heads up! This wouldn’t stop us from visiting again, we’d just plan our parking better!"
