"Perfect overnight stop when travelling with dogs - free of charge which is unique as most hotels really sting you! Nice green area around the property which again was great for our dogs. "The straightest route from this property, Rue Saint-Nicolas, to the city's main attraction is actually dangerous - it is lined with cat-calling and confrontational men and gangs of thieves - I would think advice on this from reception was very important but none was given. The rooms were great for the price and clean too, but very warm - they should be air-conditioned! We were refused a second fan. "Everything in our room that could break was broken, including the shower door, towel rack, kettle, and window latches. Even the cups were chipped, and one of the entrance keys we were given didn't work. Even though we were in a double room, we had to request a second towel on 2/3 days we stayed there. The street in front of this hotel is under major construction, so it is very noisy from dawn 'til dusk and the sidewalk is always difficult to negotiate. The hotel is above a fast-food outlet...

"It was horrible...It was my 1st time in France so I wasn’t aware of their culture. I used a towel to clean the floor and shower and was put out of the HOTEL the 2nd day! because the “owner” stated that that’s not the “french” way....I think he was being racist!! He also didn’t state that HE LIVED IN THE SAME HOTEL.....he advertised as iF the 2 beds were available but THEY WERE NOT!!! Wouldn’t recommend it to a dog!!!!"

"The car park was small and we had to pre-book a space. The staff were very helpful. The hotel facilities are limited but perfectly adequate, with a good breakfast offer and a small bar for a late drink. The location is in the very centre of the city close to the river, shopping and restaurants. "

Practical place to stay with all the basics

"This hotel is very centrally located and practical but not special. On one side of the block, there were drunk/high people hanging out with some others who were loitering in groups during the day. The other side has some fun bistros that are active at night. The hotel is pretty clean overall with contemporary, simple white interiors with light wood accents with very friendly front desk service and a more than adequate breakfast spread for an additional cost. Breakfast included not only croissants & nice breads but eggs, cheese, meat and more. Rooms were a good size and had comfortable beds. If you expect to have a stay with charm in this architecturally interesting city, this is not it but it has the basics for a practical place to stay."
