From the bottle of wine and local bakery items to the soft sheets and towels, the attention to details made our stay so enjoyable. The house is super cute, and the decor is so charming. We had a little problem, but Paul and Heidi were so responsive.

We loved the charming old home near the center of Hermann. The hosts were wonderful and had excellent knowledge of the town. They made us feel right at home. The home was built in the early 1900s, but it has many modern amenities while keeping the beauty of the original home.

Wish we could have stayed longer
Loved the atmosphere of the house. The beds were a little too soft for our liking, but you can't please everyone. We were so busy settling into our new place we were only there to sleep. I think there may be chipmunks or mice in the attic. They had a party every night :)

Great stay for Octoberfest!
Paul met us at the house & gave us a tour. The house was clean & stocked with everything we needed. The muffins, wine & waters were a wonderful touch! We were able to walk to everything downtown. There was a delicious coffee / pastry shop 1/2 block away. The trolley picked us up nearby. Thanks for a great stay!

My sister and I chose this property to celebrate my mom’s 70 birthday. The house was perfect, comfy and absolutely immaculate. The owners were so thoughtful and welcomed us with wine, muffins and balloons for my moms birthday. You can tell the house is a labor of love for them with all of the attention to detail.

Girls’ Weekend was perfection!
My college girlfriends and I chose Hermann this year for our yearly reunion, and we had such a great time! Paul was an amazing host who made sure all of our needs were taken care of! He met us at the property, walked us through it all, and entertained us with the history behind the beautiful home! We could not have asked for a greater place to stay and a better host!

Already Planning to Visit Again!
What a lovely home! The pictures don't do the place justice, and that's because Paul & Heidi are always diligently looking to improve. Their heart and soul go into this place and it shows! We had a group of five girls total, staying at the Songbird Haus, and it was perfect, we had enough room to hang out in the kitchen, dine at the main table and lounge on the sofas for chit chat. The home is beautiful and we loved how easy it was to walk everywhere in town. The entire stay was just as charming as a songbird on your shoulder! 100% worth the stay, we only wish we'd booked another day.

Wonderful place and owners were the Best!
Paul, the owner came and picked us up from the train station, gave us a tour of town and took us to the house! The house was fantastic and we had such a great trip, Paul and Heidi were the best hosts! Will definitely book the songbird house on our next trip to Hermann!

Weekend getaway
The Songbird House was beautiful. The owners have done a great job maintaining the historical beauty of the home. Paul is very friendly and was available for any questions we had. The location was awesome! We were able to walk downtown and visit several restaurants and shops. We plan to stay again in the future.

Paul came to get us from the train station. He gave us a tour of the house. Everything looked nice. He had chocolate muffins and Stone Hill wine for us. Appreciated the rides to and from station. He was a great host. If we needed anything all we had to do was contact him. I mentioned we forgot to buy some root beer. He was so nice to get us some to take back. Enjoyed our girls trip to Hermann.
