Not because there was anything wrong but because the buisiness is closing down on 29/2/2020. The sign says for redevelopment don’t know what is replacing it
All of the staff were friendly and polite and could not have done more for us
The stay was very good value for money plenty of parking and convenient

So so
The first room was incredibly warm. The toilet didn't really flush.
There was no light in the bathroom.
I asked for another room and got one immediately. That one was nicer, cleaner and a bit bigger, but the shower didn't work that well.
The staff was friendly and helpful.
No working light in the bathroom. Bathroom window broken. Toilet cistern needed fixing as was constantly filling up. TV remote dead. Some/most of the fixtures had seen better days. Staff friendly enough though.

The property itself is very tired. The staff on check in were very friendly.
I tried numerous times to contact the motel beforehand and did find this very difficult. They didn't respond to an Expedia message or an email.
The room did need a deep clean and new carpets, they were threadbare and even missing in places. All that aside the bed was super comfortable and the area was quiet

When getting into the room, it was dirty I asked to be moved to another room where the bedding was also dirty, when asked to change they just removed. In the end me and my son made other arrangements to sleep at a different location
I have arrived at this hotel but they invoke reasons like they are overbooked and they are not able to offer me an accommodation, but now when I am trying to get my money back they are refusing to pay it and they are trying to pass the responsibility to the platform that I use it to pay which is Hotels.com. I am convinced now that both parties are frauding people and I will go further with this case because innocent people have to suffer.
The window catches in room 8 were broken, the shower turned off after about 20 seconds and would not come back on, and there was a damp musty smell throughout
This is a basic lodge type accomodation attached to the local pub & chip shop. The staff are very friendly, the amenities are basic and a little dated but adequate for overnight business stay & breakfast at an extra £4.95 is freshly cooked.
Overall more of a working motel than a leisure hotel.
Omg...what a hovel.
Cold.damp.mouldy.dirty.
You arrive and see a row of potentially decent looking chalets.
You walk in the pub to check in. A little dated.
Bar one side. Door to the other side takes you directly into the chip shop..which seems to be the hotels idea of evening meal.
So off to the room.
Carpet in the hallway had chunks cut out presumably due to damp judgung by the smell. But it was ok a large scabby rug covered the gaps.
The blind in the bathroom had more green stuff growing on it than the sea floor.
The bed had no headboard so you could see the grime from previous sleepers heads. It had half a valance and signs of mould that had been cleaned off the side of the divan.
The front door had been freshly painted tho...to cover the mould.
Carpet was filthy throughout. Bathroom mouldy ceiling and tiles.
Id booked for 2 nights and if it wasnt so late id have not stayed 1. I stayed 1 night and never returned.
Honestly dont bother even looking. It wasnt even cheap either..its not like the condition is reflected in the price.
Ive re read my review before posting...and i feel im still being kind.
Staff were lovely but seriously this place is in urgent need of an update - black mould in bathroom and on back of main door and windows. Smelt if damp and room was freezing when we arrived. Towel rail held together with black tape and not working. Rooms as cheap as this are for a readon and i think the above explains why. Habing said that the beds we ckean and comfortable ss were the towels. Nehlectef and shabby is my iversll opinion.
Nice clean room. Very comfortable and just what I needed to break my travels. Staff helpful and nice pub ti wind down.

Bell Motel
It's fairly basic accommodation round the back of the pub. The room was clean, the TV a nice size and the bed was comfortable. The area is very nice. The shower was probably the worst I've had, like being spat at every two seconds!
