"Kelly was a great host, and breakfast was very good. House was located down a quiet gravel road. Area felt safe, and host had everything you would need. House was very clean and inviting. Local information was given for our visit to Kilauea. Snacks and drinks were made available."

"I can’t imagine needing anything else than what this house provided. The house was spotless and immaculate. The outdoor space was enormous, and also pristinely maintained. The little details around the property really made it feel like home - the local artwork, the Hawaiian decor (which was so comfortable). There were plenty of extras around the house so we didn’t need to shop to get extra supplies, small condiments, aloe, beach supplies (chairs, etc). The instructions for the house were very clear and the recommendations made for places to go were spot on (we went to several of them). Overall, this is probably the most idyllic place we have ever stayed. My 7 year old loved splashing in the pool and the hot tub was always nice and warm. We will definitely be back! Loved the house so much!"

"As a writer retreat, which is why we were staying, this place was almost perfect. The host was fantastic, very welcoming and working to make sure our stay was as good as possible. Having stayed in many places across the Big Island, this was very representative of a higher quality place, especially for the price. For a couple, it was perfect. There is a queen and a bunk double bed, so you could sleep six. I think for a small family it would also be great, but four adults might find themselves a little cramped, and three couples would be very tight in the lounge. The flat sits in the top floor of the house, but we heard nothing of the ground floor, and the house is very well protected from the surroundings, so we felt both very secure and private.It was our first time staying in Paradise Park, and the location worked well for us. The local area was actually better served than I worried it might be, with cafes, delis, bakerys and supermarkets within fifteen minutes drive. The drive to Hilo was not as frustrating as I feared it might be, we would drive to the beach every day - but during rush hour, the traffic was pretty terrible. Of course, that's reflected in the price, and for us it was definitely worth it. The extra 20 minutes to Saddle Road did make the drive over to Kona more imposing, and I think if we'd stayed in Hilo town, we might have headed out that way - but it was very well located for the volcano. Absolutely would stay here again and would highly recommend."

"Family had a great time staying at Tony and Samira's Farm. They were super friendly and communicative. Kids loved the farm atmosphere with chickens, sheep, goats, and lots of lizards.They were so thoughtful as to notify us of the volcano eruption happening and we were lucky enough to catch this event!"

"This was an upstairs unit of a house. There were 2 houses on the property for a total of 4 units. Everything seemed fairly new and nice. The one surprise was that one of the bedrooms essentially had only 3 walls. It was open onto the living room. We rented two units for us and our parents. It was great to be able to walk back and forth."
