Punta Caliza is a very unique and beautiful place to stay, it makes you feel like you’re in a remote jungle village deep in the island but with beautiful designed rooms made out of beautiful wood. All the rooms come together at this lagoon like pool where you can interact with other guests or cool off from a hot day or after being at the beach. Family owned hotel where their focus is to make their guests feel part of the family, don’t be surprised to see the owners in the property interacting with the guests and improving their facilities. They offer a vast variety of services, including a daily breakfast where their focus on elevated cuisine flourishes, one can also dine on the premises with a full menu for both, the dining room and the bar, a beach club with a full bar, lounge chairs and a great view of the beach. In addition they own a restaurant just a few minutes from the hotel where you can enjoy great tacos such as pulpo (octopus), their signature shrimp tacos or the vegetarian option, the cauliflower tacos. If you like mezcal, they also have mezcal tastings at both locations. The hotel is just a block away from the beach but that little walk is well worth it.
