"We had a wonderful stay at Ibis Amsterdam Centre. The room was small but adeqauet for 2. THe location couldn't be better. Few minutes walk to the train station. Walking distance to the major tourist locations and the boat rides. The Ferry dock is few minutes walk. Numerous restaurants within 5-10 minutes walk. The tour operators' pick up locations are also within 10-15 min walk. The breakfast is very good though they don't have a chef making Omelettes !. The dinner menu is limited to Pizza and Pasta and not a full dinner. No room service. Unlike may hotels these days they provided drinking water in the room 2 bottles daily. Tap water is perfectly safe. The staff is outstandng. Very efficient and courteous. No one expects tips ! I wish they would provide facial tissue paper in the room. Certainly worth the price. I strongly recommend it if yopu are looking at practicality and not luxury. "
