Riverfront cabin with kayaks and canoes

Peaceful Shores Cabin is a 4 bedroom 2 bathroom vacation home offering everything you need for a relaxing getaway directly on the river. The house has 4 bedrooms are furnished with 1 king bed, a crib, 2 queen beds, and 2 bunk beds (4 full beds). The cabin has 2 bathrooms, 1 walk-in shower and 1 shower/tub combo. We are located on the widest portion of the Apple River Flowage (600 yards wide) in Amery, Wisconsin a short drive from the Twin Cities.

Peaceful Shores Cabin has a private dock for your boat. Our family friendly rental property offers a canoe, paddle boat, 2 paddle boards, 5 adult kaysks and 2 youth kayaks to paddle around the river. You will enjoy fishing off of the dock in the peaceful water of the Apple River. Fish are plentiful year round, you will easily catch your limit of panfish summer fishing and ice fishing. Anglers can expect to catch a variety of fish including Bluegill, Largemouth Bass, Crappie Muskie, and Northern Pike. The deck has an expanded patio which includes a fire pit and a screened in gazebo perfect for bird watching and enjoying the beautiful sunsets. A kid’s play area in the loft for gaming fun includes kid's toys, board games, puzzles, and a Foosball table.

Peaceful Shores is the dream vacation spot for the entire family, for kids and adults alike. Everyone will enjoy the wide variety of activities at our cabin escape, including kayaking, canoeing, playing yard games, watching wildlife, relaxing in the hammock, fishing, boating, making s'mores over the fire, and/or grilling out.

Our vacation property is located just outside of Amery, WI. Peaceful Shores Cabin gives you access to countless miles of ATV trails, hiking / biking trails, snowmobile trails on Cattail State Trail. We have adequate parking for your snowmobiles or ATVs. We are located near all of the essential amenities you would hope to find in a large city such as farm to table restaurant, grocery stores, ice cream shops, farmer's market, and small specialty shops. There is a swimming beach in the nearby area a short drive away.

Our property and linens are cleaned by professional cleaners following the Centers for Disease Control and Protection (CDC) recommendations prior to your arrival. We offer contact free check-in.

We used the canoe however the ability to get in and out was not smooth. Grill needs some attention. Overall good stay. The view is beautiful and very quiet.

My sister and I rented Peaceful Shores for my parents 60th bday present. We relaxed, kayaked, had bonfires and fished. This property was perfect for us and has everything there that we needed for a fun weekend!

Great fishing

Very clean and plenty of fish to catch. If you want a very quiet cabin and local area this is the one for you. river was a little too green with duckweed and plants to enjoy kayaking. Family enjoyed the camp fires at night.

Fabulous Property

We enjoyed a long weekend with family at Peaceful Shores. It was clean, comfortable, and very easy to feel at home. The toys were a special treat for the kids and the windows overlooking the Apple River were perfect for watching the sunsets.

Awesome place!

We had an amazing winter weekend here! The hosts were so wonderful! Everything from ice fishing tips to helping get some items we left back to us. House had everything we could need and our boys had so much fun. Can’t wait to come back next year!

Mini spring break

Was a great place to keep 4 kids (ages 4-6) occupied! They loved everything about the upstairs loft. Wished there was more seating space for eating indoors as we have 8 people and there were only 7 chairs, that would be my only negative!

Lovely!

We had a wonderful stay. Very peaceful and lovely cabin with beautiful views and amenities. Loved having the water access and canoes/kayaks/fishing poles for use. The kids’ room with awesome bunk beds is also amazing and decked out with plenty of toys/space for playing when taking a break from the outside. Just fyi there is a neighbor’s medium sized dog that kept running onto the property/dock/deck- she was friendly and we are dog people but my youngest is a little afraid of dogs, so it was somewhat startling and unexpected at times.

High school friends weekend.

Clean. Nice amount of room for 8 adults. Outside patio, sitting area and fire pit were really enjoyable. Kitchen was well stocked. The two main floor bedrooms are very small. Would be nice to have ceiling fans in the two small bedrooms.

The property was beautiful.

We had a great time there. Everything was great. We enjoyed the fishing except for the weeds. The fire pit on the patio was great for roasting marshmallows, playing games and telling stories. The screened in gazebo was nice for when the mosquitoes came out. The lawn games were available for us to use and the canoe was great to have. I would recommend this place for family vacation or for fishing. Two of the bedrooms were a bit small but the beds were very comfortable.

Exactly What We Needed!

The home was as described. Exactly what we were looking for after long days visiting family and MOA. We did not get to use the amenities due to lack of time but we did enjoy the deck and comforts of staying in a home vs a small hotel room. We were visited by the neighbors puppy, a cat, and chickens every morning! :D Thank you for allowing us to rent your home!

Fabulous Girls' Weekend

Our group of 8 had a fun weekend at Peaceful Shores! The photos of this home are accurate & it is well-stocked w/all necessities. We loved the outdoor deck/patio area & the fire pit. We ventured out in the kayaks and paddle boards, even though it was a bit weedy on this side of the river. We had fun playing the yard games provided. Very pretty sunsets over the river. A great house for large groups, with plenty of space, 7 beds & 2 bathrooms. Thanks for sharing your lovely river home with others!

Great ice fishing right in front of the house!

Another great ice fishing weekend! 3 Moms/3 high school senior boys. Boys fished. Moms relaxed. (Farm Table in Amery is temporarily closed. Call ahead if you plan to go. Or try Pure-n-Simple, north of Amery on highway 8.) Proximity to town is convenient. Wonderful weekend getaway with a nice lake view and fast wifi!

Beautiful family cabin experience and memories made!

Our two-family stay with children ages 5-11 was wonderful. The pictures didn’t do the house and layout justice. Everything was very clean and comfortable and updated. There was so much thought put into all the extras from the mosquito netting on the patio to the nightlights on the hallways. It was really wonderful having use of the kayak and row boat. Our boys caught lots of panfish very easily off the pier and even a few bass. There was a nice breeze off the river the whole weekend. We are already making plans to book this house next year.

Beyond peaceful

They have thought of everything at Peaceful Shores. Booking was seamless and easy. Our questions were answered quickly. The only surprise was how beautifully decorated and updated it was throughout. There was so much space to: visit and/or cook in the house, sit outside in the shade of the gazebo or the sunny part of the deck. The kitchen is spacious and stocked with the expected basics. The beds and bedding were comfortable and pretty. We felt like we had all we needed and more for our summer stay !

Family get away

The property is a short drive from the town of Avery. It is located in a quiet neighborhood. Beds/bedrooms accommodated the nine of us very comfortably. Our four grandkids range in age from 4 years to 10 years. They were busy the entire time - mostly playing outside … we had great weather! They fished and kayaked right off the dock. They also biked and hiked with grandpa within the neighborhood. When they wanted a little break, they had fun watching movies, playing foosball or a board game. Overall, we had a great stay!

Great Cabin for the Family

We enjoyed this cabin very much. It's not really large, but the layout if super functional. We especially enjoyed: 1) sunfish-a-minute off the dock (fishing poles provided); 2) really cool bunkroom/playroom in the loft (7-year-old granddaughter wanted to have a midnight dance party); 3) canoes, kayaks, paddle boards and rowboat for fishing; 4) large wooden deck and paver patio with covered areas; 5) firepit and s'mores (firewood for 1 for 2 fires provided--more wood available nearby to purchase); 6) good climate control indoors; 7) comfortable beds; 8) great bargain shopping in Amery; 9) generous and accommodating host. I could go on. Everything was clean and well-stocked. Next time we might bring: a) electric trolling motor for the rowboat; b) FireStick or HDMI cable (no smart TVs, but tons of DVDs); Our entire group of ten had tons of fun. Our best cabin trip ever! Great spot for the family to unwind

Cabin was in great shape & Sara was very responsive. Kids loved fishing off of the dock (a lot of weeds, but we moved them aside with our boat). The space upstairs was perfect for our 4 boys to escape and have their own play place. Close enough to town to get anything we needed conveniently, but far enough away that we felt secluded. Great sunsets and lake breezes. Caught quite a few bass & northern pike, and of course bluegill & sunfish. Only issue we had was the sanitary holding tank filled rather quickly. Sara had the sanitation company there the next morning, so no inconvenience. Overall, we had a great week and would consider renting again.
