"A beautifully designed rustic lodge with vaulted rooflines and ceilings. The house is located inside the park and offers great views. The layout is quite open, though unfortunately, the master bath is located behind the kitchen, away from the bedrooms. The cabinets and fixtures throughout the house could use an update, but the kitchen appliances are fairly new. Many of the lights in the kitchen and living room were out, making the ambiance of the house quite dim."

"We only spent one night and was able to enjoy the grants Grove of the Kings Canyon National park. Concerns that we had: 1. A Beautiful grill was provided, but The propane was empty. The closest propane is 25 miles away. 2. There are no smoke detectors in the unit. Due to the fact that there is an unvented gas heater as well as the water heater in side the cabin… Smoke detectors as well as a carbon monoxide detector should be, and pretty sure legally mandatory. "My sister and I had a wonderful Time at the Red Mountain Suite. Perfect location, very clean and convenient. Great communication. We lost power for a while due to a storm and the hosts came by with Lanterns right away. We’d recommend this property to anyone."

"Loved being so close to Sequoia Park, and truthfully we mostly used it just to rest before and after the park. I did find myself wondering why the quilts were ugly-side-out. The area around where the rooms are was a little worse for wear. But the room was clean enough, and I really, truly loved the sheets that were on the bed."

"Stayed during the winter season. Was easy to find and get in using the provided instructions. The cabin has all the modern amenities pictured and promised, but also maintains a very cozy and down-to-earth feel. Found everything we needed in the kitchen, and enjoyed the ambiance of having a fire in the wood stove although it isn’t necessary for keeping the place warm. Enjoyed our time and definitely would stay again."

"I'm talking to my budget motel travelers right now. This is the definition of a budget motel, so if you're staying there for those specific reasons this is an alright spot!! I needed a quick 6 hours sleep on the way into Sequoia which this is perfect for. But other than that, yeah it's not exactly fancy or nice. "The location was close to the park entrance. The restaurant food was delicious and staff were friendly. The room was equipped with a microwave and could accommodate sleep for three. The housekeeper was extremely nice and friendly. The area was quiet and relaxing."

Perfect Getaway in the Sequoias!

"My husband and I stayed at the Ash Mountain Suite over President's Day weekend. It was perfect.Communication with the host was easy. She would respond within minutes of me sending a message. The location is perfect, less than 2 miles from the park entrance. The room itself is charming. First, the place is spotless. Not a speck of dust anywhere. The bed is over the top comfortable. The electric fireplace is beautiful and puts out quite a bit of heat on its own. And, there are so many thoughtful little touches. The towels are super luxe. They leave plenty of coffee, tea, granola bars, oatmeal, chocolates, etc. I cannot say enough good things about this place or the hosts. We already can't wait to go back! Thanks Lori and John!"
