"Great place for us as a place to sleep. We wanted to be near Fountains Abbey. The breakfast was amazing, we didn't eat on an evening so don't know about that. The building needs a little TLC, the door to our veranda was difficult to lock, the stairwell smelt a little fusty and there are no plug sockets near the bed. The bed was comfy though and the room basic but acceptable. Overall, a nice stay."

"If you would like to experience living in a 400 year old cottage, with many original features, surrounded by so much beauty and peacefulness, then this is the place for you! "My friends and I had a great three nights at the King's Head. The accommodation was good with a sizable and clean room. The breakfast was great with a lot of variety. "Great pub in a lovely location with fantastic views from the garden. The rooms were very large, as were the beds (which were really comfy). The room had everything you’d need. The staff were great and friendly, and helped out getting a taxi. The food at the pub is great, and the beer is kept exceptionally well. A great place to stay and only a 2 mile walk into Masham. The owners old WW2 vehicles in the car park are very interesting too. "
