Rural cottage in stunning location.

1 Tullochclury is a semi-detached house (owners next door) situated half a mile down a forestry track with walks, cycling and mountain biking from the front door!
This property is ideally placed for touring the Highlands with Inverness 12 minutes by car, and the Cairngorm National Park just minutes away.
The area is perfect for wildlife with many species of birds as well as red squirrels visiting the garden feeder. If you walk 300 yds along the track you come to the beautiful Moy Loch where you can have fun spotting otters and osprey competing for the trout.
The house is warm and cosy with central heating and a wood burning stove (wood provided) and so is comfortable any time of the year. There is a bathroom (with shower over the bath) as well as a wet room (shower only)
A short drive away Dolphins can be seen from the beach or there are Dolphin watching boat trips from Inverness.
Tomatin distillery is 3 miles away where tours of the distillery are well worth a visit.

Perfect Stay
The home was just as lovely as its description. Maybe even better. The hosts were welcoming and so sweet. Meeting our arrival with a welcome spread that was delicious, extra books to read and a fishing pole for our son who loves to fish. The house was very clean, which is important to us. The location was stunning and not too far from eating and shops in Inverness. Would definitely stay here again.

PERFECT IN EVERY WAY
I took months looking and thinking about where I wanted to stay. I saw maybe 30 that I thought might work. A short time before leaving I sat down and looked at all of them again and this one spoke to me as a top choice. I told myself "I am going to say yes and fill out the forms and if it comes back to me as available I am taking it" It came back a yes, and I could tell it was going to be good from the way the owner wrote back. Upon arriving, it was everything and more I could have wanted. We all loved every minute there. PS We are very seasoned travelers.

Lovely home in nature
The home exceeded our expectations. It was so well equipped and in a lovely natural setting. The bed rooms were comfortable and perfect for our group. We were able to easily cook in the kitchen and the dish washer made clean up easy. My elderly mom enjoyed being able to sit in the sunny dinning room and enjoy the birds, squirrels and even a pine Martin in the back garden. We went for walks to the loch and watched the sheep and bunny’s in the field. The home is close to so many interesting sites. We went to Loch Ness, Culloden Moore, Cairngorm National park, Inverness. John was a friendly and host and made the stay very pleasant. I highly recommend this home and area for a visit.

Fantastic Family Holiday - Wonderful place to stay
Tullochclury is a fantastic holiday property and is exactly as described. The owners Jon and Di couldn't have been more pleasant, helpful and discreet and made us feel very welcome and completely at home. The property has everything you would need and is a wonderful place to relax. The loch 300m down the track is beautiful and is perfect for morning and evening walks. The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do. You are 3 mins off the main A9 but it feels like you could be hours from anywhere. With Inverness just up the road and mountains, bike trails, wildlife parks and more all within 20 minutes drive, it was perfect for our family. We came up with my folks (77 and 83) and also our children ged 4 and 5. The whole family enjoyed our stay and didn't want to leave. The downstairs double bedroom and bathroom opposite was great for my parents. I would highly recommend this property and look forward to going back again. Thank you for having us Jon and Di, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Matt, Jenn, Archie, Harry and Alma and Dave. :-)

Super cottage in a lovely peaceful location
We had a lovely family holiday at Tullochclury. The cottage is very comfortable, spacious and well equipped. We enjoyed watching the red squirrels and great variety of birds in the garden and went cycling and walking from the cottage. The children also went off exploring on their own and were delighted to spot the sea eagles! The location is perfect for visiting the wider area - we spent time at the Cairngorms (cycling, walking, swimming and river tubing) and also had day trips to Loch Ness, Nairn beach and Glen Affric. Jon and Diane were welcoming, friendly and helpful - all in all we had a wonderful stay!

Perfect for us
We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 pre-teen children). We booked this cottage because we were looking for somewhere for a relaxing few days and we particularly like this area. We struck gold! I don’t think we’ve ever stayed in such a clean, comfortable and cosy cottage. It’s tastefully furnished and perfectly equipped. The owners, Jon and Di, are very friendly and discreet. Perfect hosts. There is an abundance of wildlife right outside your door including a wide range of birdlife (particularly enjoyed seeing the woodpecker). On our first two days we were delighted to see a stoat in his winter coat playing in the wood stack early in the morning. The cottage is very well located for sightseeing, not far off the A9 between Inverness and Aviemore but in a quiet and peaceful location. If you fancy a car free day, you can walk from the doorstep. The best of both worlds. Tullochclury was perfect for us. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and would absolutely return in the future. Thank you for a great stay, we loved it!

An outstanding holiday cottage with excellent hosts
Our family and friends had a wonderful stay at Tullochclury. Diana and Jon are perfect hosts, welcoming us with home-made cake, preserves and prosecco, which were really appreciated after a long journey. They have created the most comfortable of holiday cottages; a real home from home; immaculately clean and beautifully decorated, with extremely generous touches, such as providing binoculars to watch the spectacular wildlife at close range in the garden. We all enjoyed watched the red squirrel from the breakfast table! All this combined for a most relaxing and enjoyable holiday. We enjoyed exploring local walks and cycle rides from the house, as well as venturing further afield to nearby Inverness and mountains to the north. We visit Scotland regularly and Tullochclury is the finest cottage we have stayed in. We cannot recommend it highly enough and would love to return. Thank you, Jon and Diana, for your wonderful hospitality.

A lovely welcome by Diane and Jon. Greeted us at the door showed us where everything was. Cottage was home from home with everything you need. Homemade welcome treats from Diane were lovely with our first cuppa. The views were wonderful as were the walks on the doorstep. Loved watching the birds and the red squirrel that visited the garden each day. I would highly recommend this cottage and location. Hope to visit again in a couple of years time.

This was a wonderful cottage for a stay in the Highlands. Beautiful setting, wonderful accommodations and welcoming hosts. Jon and Diana were very responsive, giving directions to the cottage, welcoming with wonderful treats and thinking is such special touches. Loved watching all the wildlife and the walks around the cottage. Only 15 minutes from Edinburgh so east to go in to the city but feels like you are mikes away. Had the wood stove ready for a fire. Everything was immaculate. Would definitely stay again.
