Everything was perfect about our stay, lovely host, lovely room, lovely property and great views from the seating area with comfy seats and from the spacious breakfast room. Will definitely try and stay here again on any future trips to Scotland!
We had a wonderful stay. Mairi made us so welcome and the breakfasts were super. We enjoyed porridge and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon or full Scottish breakfast. Mairi was very knowledgeable about the local area and she allowed us to use fishing rods to catch fish at the pier.
Perfection! We stayed here for one night whilst on a road-trip around Scotland, and I am very glad we did!
The guesthouse itself is absolutely stunning, modern and beautifully situated with amazing views. It is located very conveniently close to Stornaway, only 10 - 15 mins by car.
The room was a good size, very clean and very comfortable with a lovely en-suite and lots of closet space. I honestly felt so comfortable, it was as if we were staying over at a friend's house.
The breakfast was exceptional! The food was cooked to perfection - one of the best we've had.
A big thank you to both Miari and Calum for the recommendations of sightseeing throughout Lewis, and for making our stay so pleasant and relaxing. We will definitely be coming back the next time we're on Lewis.
Stunning location overlooking the bay, very helpful making dinner reservations and discussing places to see, Made breakfast accommodations for early departure for the ferry. About 6 miles from Stornoway and dinner options
A beautiful view of the ocean. Moiri was a fabulous hostess. Super helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Not too far to Stornoway for restaurants. We very much enjoyed our stay.
We were warmly greeted by Mairi as soon as she opened the door. We could immediately see into the living room and through a large window the incredible view out the back of the property. We knew we were going to love our stay! I felt like I was visiting a friend’s home. Our room was on the first floor and in the front of the house. It still felt private even with the curtains open. The house is very new having been completed in October of 2018. Everything was clean and modern. Our room was large with a comfortable bed and personal bathroom. I noticed that the ceramic tile floor in the bathroom was heated. Nice touch! We were welcome to enjoy the use of the living room and breakfast room as well as the deck. It was lovely to sit outside and just enjoy the view of the ocean and listen to the gulls and sheep nearby. Breakfast was included and we could choose between continental or traditional Scottish. We went with the traditional both mornings and the food was excellent and prepared personally by Mairi. We so enjoyed getting to talk with her and finding out more about life on the Isle of Lewis. She told us her husband Collum is also a fair hand at cooking when she needs him to fill in on occasion. My friend and I are happy to give Clach Gorm a five star rating!
I had a whoops w my hotel reservations and found Clach Gorm. It was really perfect to have a clean up re-group night. Super hospitable owners, very tastefully done, remarkable view
