"This is my favourite hotel in Himeji. While older and perhaps not as trendy as some newer properties, it is still exceptionally well-maintained and very comfortable. "Only thing I would ask is to have shuttle bus service to the train station in the morning OR at least around check out time. Other than that the breakfast and onsite "real" onsen were great to mention. The almond french toast is a special mention. Staffs were very friendly."

"I had a wonderful visit at the Portopia Hotel. My room had all of the toiletries I needed plus a set of pajamas and slippers. When I ordered room service, the staff came to my room to take my order. I would definitely recommend this hotel as an American visiting Japan. However, it is on Port Island so I had to tax in Kobe."

"Lovely hotel and our room had great views over the harbour. Only 5 minute walk to Chinatown and shopping areas. Port and City loop buses stop right outside hotel and give easy access to Various areas and to Shin-Kobe station for Nunobiki Falls and herb garden which are well worth a visit. Only slight downside was the elevated roadways near the hotel."

"Great amenities as an IHG hotel. Right in the train station so it couldn't be more convenient. Everything perfect. Seems like it's been a while since it's had a refresh and at some point could use new carpeting in the halls, but generally a lovely convenient place. Great gym. I was excited about that. Lovely bath gel, shampoo and conditioner in the rooms."
