Beautiful house in an equally beautiful setting. Hosts Nina and William were wonderful. Room was clean and stylish (as was the rest of the house) and breakfast was lovely. Highly recommend!

Terrible stay
Room was dated, curtains hanging down. The smallest TV you could imagine. Then breakfast wow. I had the healthy option of a full Scottish breakfast. I say healthy as I spent more calories chewing through the terrible breakfast, one poach egg fell off the plate, bounced off the floor and back onto the plate. Stay well away

Nothing not to like. Accommodation was quality, spacious, comfortable and a great nights sleep! Breakfast was excellent with cereal and full Scottish fry up setting me up for the day. We enjoyed the lovely weather on the night of our stay by sitting in the huge garden space that Allerton House provides after returning from dinner in town, a 10 minute stroll to the Abbey and the restaurant. Car parked on arrival until leaving this morning. Great hosts, lovely time.

The best in Scotland (and perhpas the UK)!
Allerton House was the most comfortable and enjoyable bnb we have stayed at on our UK trip. The room, the breakfasts, the location and most importantly, our hosts, were all marvellous and we were very sorry to leave. We cannot recommend Allerton House highly enough.

ALLERTON House is set in beautiful gardens, and is equally beautiful inside. It’s very homely and comfortable. The owners keep it very clean and tidy, it was a lovely place to stay. The owners are very friendly, and welcoming. Breakfast was superb. My only regret was that my stay was short.

Allerton House is an impressive historical building, easily accessible to the town of Jedburgh and its main attraction the Abby Ruins. The hosts: William, Nina and little Magnus are gracious hosts and made our stay great.

Lovely small hotel in an old home. The proprietor and his wife were lovely, charming and very helpful. We had a delicious breakfast in the sitting room complete with a fire that warmed up the autumn chill. the setting in Jedburgh is charming with an easy walk to main part of town, the abbey, the mary queen of scots museum, shopping, and some very good restaurants.

Well worth it.
Allerton House is a well appointed,friendly guest house.Close to the town it offers all one needs.Very friendly hosts and excellent breakfast.Will definitely visit again.
