"The property is in a beautiful secluded setting near Forbes State Forest. Beware if GPS tries to take you in on Laurel Tunnel Road off of route 31, all dirt road and very confusing; instead take Short School Road off route 31. The cottage was cozy and the gas fireplace kept the place warm. The hot tub was nice. The toilet occassionally needed the plunger to flush out. The house was relatively clean, but could use a deep cleaning (lots of dead bugs on the windowsills, even on day of arrival). The...

"This cottage was the absolute perfect getaway for my boyfriend and I. The property was spotless and so inviting. The hot tub was so relaxing after a long day of hiking. The deck off the creek house was excellent for morning tea. The indoor fireplace was also lovely. The host was so kind and communicated promptly and politely when we had questions. "My friends and I enjoyed our stay! Place was clean, cozy and comfortable with a nicely equipped kitchen. We enjoyed the back deck overlooking the water and saw a bald eagle fly over. "This house is nicely situated on the Juniata River. It has wonderful fishing opportunities, with a landing right on the river. It is a nice house that is very comfortable. There is a wonderful restaurant - Jean Bonnet Tavern- nearby Excellent food and service. We had a wonderful stay here."

"The cottage was super cute, a great place for a much-needed girl's weekend away. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and the coffee and snacks were a special treat. The only issue we had was finding the house the first day, we arrived after dark and had trouble finding the gravel driveway to the cottage. We had an amazing weekend exploring Bedford."

"We hosted a reunion for our extended family this past weekend. The first floor was open enough that we could all be connected. The football fans took over one room, the basketball fans had the other, and the rest of us gathered to laugh and chat around the table. We even sang songs around the fire one night. The location was close to everything we wanted to visit. Definitely enjoyed our stay. "
