"Lots of flair, well thought out property with nice extras (bug spray, cooler for day use etc). This was our ‘home base’ for visiting the east side of the island and it worked well as a place to sleep. Room is in a neighborhood area with a rural feel. Relaxing frogs and birds to keep one company. Great communication from the manager. Would recommend as an affordable place to stay when doing full day trips in the area. "

"This property is extremely well cared for. The landscaping and home are absolutely gorgeous. The deck and window doors allow for a comfortable “outdoor” experience even when it rains. The hot tub was a fantastic added bonus for the cooler evenings. Loved the location as well."

"My stay here was nice, but I suggest arriving there during the day, it's very dark there at night. The place was very nice and tropical nature feel. It was clean but smells like cedar, if that bothers you. Very comfy bed too. I stayed two nights with no problems. The area is dark and nothing around. Very secluded and a little eery when staying alone but it is very close to the volcano which is why I came! All in all great stay! "

"This was an ideal location for us and close to where we wanted to go on the Big Island. The room was compact and had everything we needed. The property is charming and was especially amazing at night with laser lights twinkling all over the gardens. Plenty of off road parking was a nice bonus. Would definitely recommend to others!"

"Loved the view from the living room, dining room, and lanai - 180 degrees of ocean. We even saw whales!!The hosts were very responsive. We had trouble with a bedroom light, they had it fixed the next day. And when the power went out while we were away, they texted to warn us, and supplied flashlights and drinking water to make sure we'd be OK.I can't recommend this place enough!! Next time we travel to Hawaii I hope it's available!"

"Loved this place! My son calls it the “jungle house” and it’s indeed a good place to be in nature! So peaceful, worth the drive for sure. Beds were comfortable, clean, and the hosts were quick to respond with any questions. We would absolutely come back! "

"This was a great property. I stayed in one of the one bedroom apartments with an extra bed in the living room. It was comfortable. The yard was beautiful. The owners were extremely helpful and easy to work with over the phone and by text. The gardens were amazing. This property was very easily accessible to the Hilo side of the island. We were about an hour from volcanoes national park and we were about an hour in the other direction from many great venues. Would I stay here again? Yes I would."

"Beautiful respite in the rainforest just a few minutes away from Volcanoes National Park. We loved the huge green tree ferns and the flowers surrounding the property, giving it a private fantasy feeling, just like the pictures on the website. We loved the jacuzzi amongst the moss and ferns. We enjoyed the sounds of the many frogs and birds."

"This guest house was the most wonderful and beautiful place I have ever stayed. "We absolutely adored the accommodations at Bali Temple. So comfortable with plenty of interesting reads, beach chairs and a well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed the stars and the sound of the surf. Heads up the unit is a duplex so there was another couple downstairs."

"We really enjoyed the unique decor and setup. Our room had a separate coffee and sitting area, which allowed one of us to wake up early. The facility also covers heat and cold really well, with different built in heaters, a fan and extra blankets. Only small gripe - it has a fancy TV built into the wall that would not turn off. We suggested that the facility provide directions. On a positive note, the facility gave great directions and reminders in other areas. So, definitely come here if you’re hanging out in Volcano and don’t mind quiet hours starting at 9 pm. The town shuts down early."

"We’ve stayed in the Volcano area three times and this was the best accommodation by far. Check-in was flawless and our room was clean, large, and comfortable. The hosts have thought of everything. There was a mini-fridge with freezer and a microwave. There were also a few necessary cups, dishes, silverware and glassware. This is SO important in Volcano, as there are so few dining options. If you bring a well-stocked cooler, you could spend several days here comfortably. We would stay here again."
