"From the moment we stepped onto the houseboat, we knew we were in for a treat! Our stay was nothing short of extraordinary, and I can't recommend this experience highly enough. "We were a large group of friends divided in three different rooms and we had the best time at Numa Fore! Very clean, great bed, very cute apartments. Transport is also great, 9 mins walk to train that dropped us straght in the city center in 20 mins! In the weekend the parking spots outside the hotel are free of charge, BONUS!!!"

"We met up with friends in Hamburg and were thankful to find a property with sufficient rooms and 1.5 bathrooms located close to the Hamburg City Center. The property was as described. The layout is a bit funky with glass panels giving visibility into some rooms, the restroom windows going out to the walkthrough and one room having no windows at all. "The appartments were actually called the "Makro Appartments". They were fairly new, in great condition, comfortable and very clean. Train station right next door which was very convenient but still quiet (triple glazed windows). I'd definitely stay here again - perfect for travelling with children."

"My husband and I arrived late to the hotel, since we were tired we decided to eat at the Italian restaurant cantinetta, which was still open. Food selection offered non-meat dishes and was very good. The gym was a bit small, equipment worked well and clean. Our room was very comfortable. The attractions in the area were walkable and many popular options for ethnic cuisines. Make reservations ahead of time. Definitely will stay at this hotel should my travels take me backs to Hamburg! "Four days of pure luxury. We upgraded to the Europa suite and it was the most magical venue for Christmas. We enjoyed a magnificent Christmas lunch, delicious breakfasts and wonderful room service meals. The staff were absolutely phenomenal. We really don’t have enough superlatives for our stay at the Fontenay. Worth every penny! "

Modern and stylish with great location!

"The hotel was very modern and stylish. It is located in a park so is very quiet at night. The reception staff was great and efficient. The rooms are big and the beds are huge and very comfortable though maybe a bit too high. There is a big tv, a small fridge, a kettle and tea/ coffee and bottle water available in the room, so it is really above the average 4☆ hotels. The bathroom is spacious with a bathtub which l had requested, so it was fantastic helpful. There is a hairdryer and en iron! So its really above average 4☆ hotel! The only problem l encountered was with a cleaning staff who didn't understand neither German nor English, and seemed a bit annoyed when I asked him to come back later as l was in the middle of a bath, but he didn't come back that day... so maybe a little improvement der, but of course l should have put the do not disturb sign on the door! Otherwise it was a great 4 nights stay in the wonderful city of Hamborg. "
