9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, 107 reviews
"Claudia welcomed me personally at dinner. Her and her partner were only too happy to help in any way possible. The rooms were clean & tidy, with balconies that offered unbeatable views of the mountains. They even made me some food for the road, as I had leave very early to catch a train. The hotel had a lovely, personal vibe."

"The pictures do not do the place justice. Top level. Pool is warm, customer service goes above and beyond as the norm. Got in a bit of trouble for playing piano at 11pm but don't blame them as I'm no concert pianist. Wish I'd have booked the place for a week. Thanks for having me."

"Can't say enough good things about our stay. We enjoyed it so much we extended an extra 2 days (stayed 5). The breakfast buffet is the best we've had in 2 months. The staff are friendly and will do whatever they can to make your stay enjoyable. Kandersteg is a lovely village that's not overrun with tourists. There's great hiking in the area and it's convenient to the other, more well known areas."

"Kandersteg, located in the Swiss Alps, is a true winter wonderland. The small village is surrounded by stunning mountain scenery, making it the perfect destination for a winter getaway. Hotel Alpina sits about a 10min walk from the train station. The hotel is clean and the staff are helpful. More options for breakfast would have been nice but overall it was a great stay.
