The exterior grounds of Kanigan Mountain Retreat offer authentic retreat conditions with 1.5 acres and 360-degree breathtaking views.

The Space:

Nestled in the picturesque Gympie Region, our spacious retreat offers the perfect setting for restorative getaways. Experience the peace and beauty of nature while enjoying modern amenities and ample space for your group. Freshly renovated with stylish country farmhouse vibe, this stunning property can accommodate 25-30 guests very comfortably. Accommodation can be separated to cater for both small and large groups. Perfect for Big Family Get Aways, Retreats, Writing & Creative Escapes, and a base to explore the beaches and hinterland.

Bedroom 1: 2 X Double beds+ 1 X single bunk. Capacity is 1-6

Bedroom 2: 1 X QB. Possibility to add single foldout or porta cot. Capacity 1- 3

Bedroom 3: 1 X QB. Possibility to add single foldout or porta cot. Capacity 1-3

Bedroom 4: with ensuite, 1 X Triple bunk (Double below, single above)+ 1x single. Capacity: 1-4

Bedroom 5: 1 X QB + 1 X wooden cot. Capacity: 1-3

Bedroom 6: 1 X QB. Possibility to add single foldout or porta cot. Capacity 1-3

Bedroom 7: 1 X single with Trundle. Capacity 1-2

Bedroom 8: XL Downstairs Bunk room 2 X single bunks, 1 x Queen Bed Capacity 1-6.

Chapel: 1 x QB+ one triple bunk (Double below, single above). Possibility to add 1 X single foldout bed or porta cot as needed. Capacity is 1- 6
*Please note the Chapel is a stand-alone building which is across the driveway, although it has no bathroom, it does have a wood burning fire & a small seating area.

Porta cots to be supplied by the guest.

BYO tents for camping to accommodate extra guests is an option but this must be discussed and approved prior to confirmed booking and will be subject to an additional cost.

Bathrooms:

4 bathrooms in total, all with showers
5 toilets.
PLEASE NOTE- Short showers are important here due to being on tank water & the hot water systems capacity.

2 Open Plan Living Areas- Each featuring a kitchen, dining, and living space. Ideal for preparing communal meals, gathering for discussions, and relaxing. Both kitchens are fully equipped with modern appliances and all cooking equipment needed for a comfortable stay. Basic condiments also provided such as tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, oil etc.

2 Large Deck Areas- Both equipped with BBQs and seating, perfect for outdoor dining, group activities, and enjoying the natural surroundings.

Recreation and Relaxation Areas:

Sheltered Games Area- Provides a fun and engaging space for recreational activities.
Above Ground Pool & Spa- Offering relaxation and rejuvenation, a perfect way to unwind and soak in the beautiful scenery around you.
