Paxos Hotel Guide - Kanóni hotels in Paxos, Greece.

"The position of Thanasis is wonderful. We spent many hours just watching the boats come and go in the harbour. The swimming pool is exclusively for this villa and was lovely and the upstairs living quarters are bright and airy. There are quite a few stairs to navigate going down to the bedroom and bathrooms and care is needed. Possibly the bathrooms could do with a revamp but were perfectly usable and hot water never a problem. The owner of the villa, Thanasis, was available to call at all times and was very helpful and responsive particularly when we needed some medical assistance after one of us had a fall on a nearby stony track. From then on it meant we had to use taxis to get to and from Lakka. The road down to the village is walkable in daylight hours, around 25 minutes, but not recommended when dark. Whilst there is a rough cliff top path down to Harami Beach, and then on to the village, care needed to be taken in certain parts. We found the supermarket delivery service to be very useful!"

"This is a hard review to write, mainly due to the owner of the property - Alexander being simply lovely. After visiting Paxos in 1995 with my parents as a child, it was so lovely to be back and Paxos delivered as a location in all the wonderful ways I remembered! I have listed our family review in 2 parts - The positives and the negatives: Positives: - Alexander the owner is simply lovely. The nicest, genuine person, so warm and inviting. - Location, location, location. Lakka is a wonderful typical traditional Greek town and has everything you need. - The view from the villa speaks for its self and is what sold us the property to rent in the first place. Negatives: - We knew the property was older in style and interior design compared to other properties, so this isn't a criticism based on this. However the furniture needs updating desperately - the mattresses have lived their life and need replacing - even if we wanted to stay longer, we couldn't due to the beds being so old. - Fridge was broken and wasn't chilling food - Leak in Kitchen - Our overall negative though, which can be dealt with, was the cleanliness of the property. I am sad to say, that this property was filthy. Every room was unclean in some ways an the bathrooms were so bad. This property has such an amazing view and location, however sadly for us its in need of an extensive deep clean and updating compared to others on the market. "

"Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Pool area was comfortable. Rooms are a bit outdated but netflix on tv is great.the view from our balcony was lovely. The hotel is built from lower ground to high ground so if you have any difficulties walking make sure you get a room on the lower level. Walk into lakka is about 10 mins from the beach front. The staff from nepal are amazing. "
