"This was unfortunate, we were unhappy. It may be nicer during the “season” but we were so disappointed we checked out shortly after arrival and booked a new hotel. Our “partial sea view” room had 1 window that looked out at a cement wall and there was no sea in sight… secondly, the entire “lobby” was under construction and the property seemed surprised at our arrival. "One night stay in a sea view apt. Lovely room with bathroom in the bedroom. Fantastic sea views and we loved our stay - however the cleanliness of the room was not up to standard and we felt a little disappointed by this. Mirrors - shower - smell of towels and a rogue slipper found under the bed. Lacks the attention it should have. However we had a good deal in the room so perhaps we shouldn’t moan! "The toilet seat had urine stains when we first checked in and only God knows how long its been there. The kitchen lacked clean surfaces as did the floor of the entire room when we first got there. "Amalia & Yannis are wonderful hosts. The villa is beautiful, well thought out and absolutely everything you need is there. When we did need help like a taxi or advice on where to seek a Dr, they were super speedy and helpful with their response. The villa is a 5min walk into the centre of the small town and a 5-10min walk to the beach or a 10min taxi ride to Zakynthos town. We hope to be back soon!"

"Arrived by bike, watch for dogs in the area. Anna was so kind upon my arrival after a tough day of biking. The apartment was a great place to rest and had everything I needed. Should have looked to see if there was a market or restaurant close before arrival (by bike). The yard and outdoor areas are stunning. I could sit and read and admire the sea all day long. Wish I could have stayed longer. 10/10 recommendation if arriving by car. 5/10 if cycling because of dogs and distance to resupply "

"The breakfast spread is a beautiful sight, with every nut, grain, and dried fruit neatly stored in glass jars. The table is set with speckled plates and fine china, adding a touch of elegance. The rattan and wooden furniture, in warm beige, brown, and stone tones, create a cozy and natural atmosphere. The vines draping over the balcony bring a lush, botanical feel that adds to the charm of the space. The staff are incredible. The staff here are genuinely friendly, always smiling, and approachable. I've met such simple, yet happy and beautiful souls—an experience that has been truly eye-opening. I came here seeking solitude, and I've found the perfect space to unwind and recharge. The scenery is breathtaking; the beach is a serene retreat with its fresh, calming atmosphere. I could easily spend the entire day there, listening to the rhythmic crash of waves against the shore, just me, my book, and the gentle hum of people laughing, swimming, and chatting with loved ones. I’m not ready to leave yet, but I know I’ll be back again."

"The Marelen was perfect for us, the breakfast had many options, the pool bar was top notch service, its location is perfectly between the beach and main road for shops etc. We were visiting for a few days for a wedding so staying in different hotels and multiple people mentioned how they really liked our hotel compared to others in the area - we are hoping to be back for a proper holiday next year!"
