"The best thing was the view of Maria Island from the back deck and main bedroom window. Late check out is also appreciated. Ice cream shop (Sweets) across the road was excellent to discover just before closing time. The Orford Beach House is well set up and would be a great place to stay for a week. "Beautiful surrounds with fully fenced yard. The cottage was immaculate and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Communication with Hazel was easy, prompt and super friendly. Cheese platter on arrival and the whole experience was wonderfully relaxing. Easy drive to Hobart and was a perfect nights stay for me and my two little furry friends.Thank you to the hosts!"

"Although road was gravel, it was absolutely dangerous!On entering cabin we were shocked with stains all over mats, sofa, cushions, spill marks down furniture legs, stove was covered in cooking splatters, food residue, dust, Vent above stove - filthy. Shower bay, dirty, ground in rust, grime etc. Sheets were the only things that felt "cleanish", We only used the electric kettle, 2 cups, 1 teaspoon and on washing the cups found the teatowels were too "greasy" to actually wipe them. Quirky and comfy

"I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I was not expecting much but the room was a really good size with a dining table and 2 seater couch. I loved the unusual angular shape of the ceiling and the “window to the sky” was a cool idea. The bed was very comfortable and location was great, in the main st Richmond. We had the private ensuite room and it was up a few stairs so I was glad we did not have too much luggage! The attached bistro had good meals and was a popular spot. "
