Myra Park Bike Hike—Rural Retreat

Adventurous souls will feel right at home at our 2-acre rural retreat in SE Kelowna, surrounded by orchards, vineyards, and natural beauty. Start your first full day with a complimentary breakfast while listening to birdsong on the patio. Our spacious 2BR suite is the ideal home base for your escapades: bike, golf, hike, ride, or climb all day, then come home to store your gear, soak in the hot tub, unwind with a game of pool, and sip local wines around the flat-screen TV and fireplace.
The space
With 2,000 sq. ft. of living space and access to a shared outdoor space, you’ll have plenty of ways to kick back and tune into vacation bliss. Here’s what your suite includes:

LIVING SPACES
- Relax in a casual cool living area with extra comfortable sofa and chair seating.
- Pour a local beer or glass of wine from our welcome pack, then get cozy by the electric fireplace.
- Find your favorite flick on the 65” flat-screen TV, or grab a read from the library.
- Face off with a friendly competition on the pool table.

KITCHEN & DINING
- Fuel up for your first full day with our complimentary first morning continental breakfast.
- Brew a cup of coffee or tea and plan your adventures around the dining table for four.
- Stash leftovers or groceries in the mini-fridge and heat them up in the microwave for easy at-home meals (dishes and spices provided).

BED & BATH
- Two friends or two couples can claim the master with a queen-size bed and a double bed.
- Rest and relax in total privacy in a second bedroom with queen-size bed.
- Refresh after a day of adventure in the bathroom with shower.

GUEST ACCESS
The entire ground-floor suite with private entrance is yours for your stay. You'll also have shared access to the yard and outdoor living spaces as well as the hot tub.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Krista’s home is located in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada.
You won’t have to go far to find ways to fill your days when you stay this close to Myra-Bellevue Regional Park. Our neighborhood is ultra scenic and peaceful, but close to countless adventures. Here’s a few suggestions for a jam-packed getaway:
- Strap on your boots or get on your bike and hit up challenging trails at Myra-Bellevue Park—just steps from your door.
- Pack your gear and get a birds’-eye view of Kelowna when you climb the Boulderfields.
- Tee-off at Gallagher’s Canyon or Harvest Golf Courses—both are par 72 and within 10 minutes. (And indulge in dinner or a round of drinks afterwards—both have onsite restaurants.)
- Head to Myra Canyon Ranch and take a horseback tour out to vistas overlooking Kelowna.
- Rent a bike at the world-famous Kettle Valley Railway trestles and pedal out past breathtaking forest and lake expanses on a decommissioned railroad.
- Travel through the treetops on the rope course & zipline at Myra Adventure Park.
- Give yourself a rest day and head downtown (15 minutes away) or take a tour of our neighborhood distillery, cidery, mead winery, or eight local wineries.
- Catch rays on Kelowna beaches, just 15 minutes away.

Large home in tranquil location.
Pictures don’t do it justice, the space was much larger than expected and extremely homely and comfortable. The garden surrounding the home is beautiful and the hiking trails nearby are amazing. The hot tub was great. The host was very pleasant and considerate. I highly recommend booking a wine tour with them also!

A nature getaway in a beautiful, lake and mountains country.
What a week to remember. It’s always tough to find the perfect way to celebrate a momentous occasion, but after spending it here on such a beautiful property surrounded by nature, animals, and endless activities in reach, we certainly were not left disappointed. Welcomed with incredible hospitality, nights around the fire and in the hot tub, we certainly would recommend and can’t wait to return for future getaways.

“Perfect place to stay”
We totally enjoyed our stay in Kelowna. We fell in love with Kelowna, and because of the location we were able to see a lot of Kelowna. Lots to do all over the city and country. The home was stocked and the care takers were very pleasant and hospitable to us, nice little touches like fresh fruit and a yummy bottle of wine! Our family enjoyed the big screen tv when we were there to relax after a long of day site seeing! Thank you Krista for making our trip a pleasure !

Christmas at Myra Adventure Home
I booked this VRBO over the Christmas holidays for my daughter, her husband and their three teenagers from the U.K. We have limited space and as we had other family staying, I thought this arrangement would work. Although the VRBO doesn't have a stove or sink, the rest of the facilities were excellent and Krista made sure that the family was well provided for. The arrangement worked out exceptionally well as most of the time they were with us or out enjoying the winter activities. One evening, we all sat around outside at the firepit where there was an endless supply of logs, stories and laughter in the snow...wonderful! The home is spacious, warm, and very comfortable and Krista was a great Hostess!

Excellent Apartment & Great Location
Outstanding trip to Kelowna area that included biking and golfing for my brother and I. Excellent location, and this basement apartment was perfect for us. Krista and Rod live upstairs on the property and were there to welcome us and show us around. They are a pleasure to deal with, were very helpful in all aspects, as well as giving us our privacy. We really appreciated the breakfast provided the first morning we stayed, a very nice touch. The apartment was in immaculate condition. Clearly very well kept. It is difficult for pictures to reflect how large and spacious all the rooms are, especially the bedrooms. The beds and mattresses were new and very comfortable. The heated floor in the bathroom is a real plus to be enjoyed after a shower. Be aware of the kitchenette facilities , there is no stove or oven. However there is a BBQ available for grilling, a microwave, and a toaster for morning breakfasts. Although no kitchen sink, dirty dishes are set aside with Krista collecting and cleaning the next day. We knew this upon renting, good to be prepared for this. Location is ideal if you want to be out of the busy city and traffic, yet close enough to Kelowna that it is only a few minutes in to town. Only 6 minutes to Galllagher's Canyon golf course, which we would highly recommend for both golf and dinner. Many excellent biking trails close by. including the Myra Canyon Park, Mission Creek Greenway, and our favourite being the Okanagan Rail Trail from Kelowna to Vernon. We had expensive e-bikes which Krista allowed us to store in their garage when not using them. Hoping to do this trip on a yearly basis. We would absolutely rent this apartment again. I highly recommend it for anyone staying in the Kelowna area. Thanks Krista and Rod for all your hospitality. We totally enjoyed our stay.

Cycling trip
This property was ideal for reaching the KVR. Our hosts were very helpful. Beautiful location and lovely to be able to sit out and enjoy the sun. Just a couple of gripes. No water except in the bathroom so had to leave dirty dishes to be washed up after we left. It also did say ‘continental breakfast but the option didn’t live up to our idea of a continental breakfast

Excellent Stay!
Krista warmly greeted us upon arrival and provided a beautiful basement suite for our enjoyment with a fantastic yard to take advantage of as well. She was very accommodating and quick to respond to any needs we had. She provided an iron and ironing board upon request and even offered to take our pictures before the wedding. I highly recommend you staying at her property!

Amazing stay and great memories
The place was very spacious, clean, comfortable and perfect for our group. Our hosts were great with their communication and helpfulness. There are lots of trails around the property and it is close to Myra Canyon. Would love to go back.

2-night Stay in Kelowna
The property was quite nice and remote. It was also close to my favourite distillery - Wise Acres! However, we were extremely disappointed that there was no kitchen - not even a sink. Only a tiny kitchenette with dishes. For the price we paid, I would have expected a full kitchen. Also, it is almost a fully in-ground suite so is quite dark, but does have lots of lighting. The smell of marijuana floating in at times was also note pleasant. We will look for another spot next year.

Amazing place!
Such a spacious suite in a gorgeous location! The beds, sofas and chairs were super comfy—and there was a basket of extras throws to snuggle up with in the evening in front of the fire and HUGE TV. We loved playing pool by the cute bistro table (what an awesome idea for a lighting fixture!). Krista provided much useful information about the area and answered all questions that came up quickly; she even reminded us that she could wash our dishes during the stay as there isn't a sink in the kitchen. I'd love to stay there again!

Spacious accommodation in a beautiful neighbourhood
This was a very comfortable place to make as our home base while we explored the Okanagan area. Walking trails are accessible right outside of the driveway. We especially enjoyed getting to meet the day old chicks the owners received during our stay.

We had a great stay at this property after our kettle valley bike trip.
The host was super helpful with lots of suggestions for food and activities. We had a nice walk on the trails that were just across the street. It was very quiet and peacuful and a great place to relax. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Little getaway
This was a lovely big two bedroom. Home away from home on the outskirts of Kelowna., a close drive to downtown and the Vineyards. We didn’t expect the apartment to be so big. It worked well for our group off4 as we had a pool table to amuse us and a hot tub outside. The host was sweet, provided everything we needed, and gave us useful recommendations Fort places to visit and eat. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, although it was a little too short to see all the things our host recommended. Another visit is a must.

Should have stayed Longer
We enjoyed our stay here, stayed for 3 nights and skiied for 2 days. So we didn't really have a chance to enjoy the area and neighborhood, since it was dark when we returned from the hill. More than enough room, super clean, lots of extras, delicious fresh baked muffins too! Would like to come back sometime in the summer to enjoy Myra Park. The drive to the ski hill was long, since the property is a little out of the way, but that is part of the charm in a way, lovely area.

Welcoming and spacious
We loved this family’s lower suite! It was the perfect fit for us with our planned activities of biking and wine tasting in the Kelowna area. Krista is a very warm and welcoming host and gave us llots of good information and tips about the area. We also had plenty of privacy and could easily come and go as needed. Extra bonuses for us were the spacious and clean suite, hot tub and pool table. Krista went above and beyond and gave us a ride to the KVR trail head with our bikes, and left us a complimentary bottle of wine! Thanks for the lovely experience!
