"The hotel is in an excellent position with views over lake Windermere, a very warm and cosy feel to it, they light the log burner in the lounges late afternoon/early evening, which is nice to sit by and have a drink. It's about a 20 minute walk into Windermere town and 10-15 minutes walk into Bowness, both towns are very nice. "Excellent experience with beautiful views very comfortable and relaxing my wife had no appetite but the chef was only to accommodating in catering for her needs my meal was delicious breakfast choice was second to none all staff were extremely friendly courteous and only to eager to help you are all a credit to your profession many thanks"

"Big house with great sized rooms and plenty space for our 15 adults and 5 children. Hot tub was great. Living space/bar area very roomy and open. The owners were very flexible with the Sunday checkout times which was nice of them. The kitchen is a professional kitchen (for the weekday BnB purpose I guess) so not quite the social space that you're used to in a more traditional house. "Lovely place, lodge was clean, had everything you would need, over looking the lake, space for parking car too, we went swimming which was great, took the kids in the games room which they enjoyed, had two meals in the Restaurant, they were lovely and you get alot, we had a nice two break and very relaxing."

"Loved the hotel and facilities. The Room had a wonderful view of the lake and was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The restaurant was wonderful and the food fantastic. The biggest and best part of our stay were the staff. Friendly, attentive, and helpful. A huge plus for the hotel. "

"Great hotel. Staff all lovely. Great cocktail Bar overlooking the lake which also does food. On site restaurant mizumi is excellent. Great atmosphere. It was nice to have an evening where we didn’t need to leave the hotel. The only points for improvement would be the bathroom could do with modernising and having a walk in shower and the superior room we had could have done with a set of drawers as we felt this was lacking. That being said we would definitely book again. We had a great visit "

"Friendly, attentive staff. Tasty breakfast. Comfortable room, with complementary gin. Enjoyed spending time in the spa. Used our Expedia reward in the bar, relaxing in front of the fire. A great birthday getaway. Just a shame that they feel the need to charge for parking. Would certainly recommend Rothay Garden and hope to return in the future."
