Wailana Sands #102 is a 1 bedroom, 1 bath unit at a quiet boutique property across the street from Mai Poina Beach Park. NOTE- This unit is on the ground floor and has direct, unencumbered access to the courtyard and pool area. This makes things convenient but could potentially present a danger if someone in your party is a non-swimmer.
The unit includes a fully-equipped kitchen and complimentary wifi. The bedroom provides a queen bed and a ceiling fan, and you'll find a futon, a cable television, and a ceiling fan in the living room. Enjoy your meals from your lanai while taking in the beautiful garden and pool views. There are even a couple barbecues available for guest use. When you are ready to head to the beach, Wailana Sands #102 conveniently supplies beach chairs, beach towels, and a cooler. NOTE- there is no A/C in this unit however there is a sunshade off the lanai. Sleeps 2.
Same day bookings and those arriving within 48 hours of making the reservation require a phone call to Rentals Maui for confirmation.

Wailana Sands is located in North Kihei near the Whale Sanctuary, Kalepolepo Beach, and an ancient Hawaiian fishpond. Wailana Sands has a large pool, gas grills, and a coin-operated common laundry area. Whale watch, windsurf, walk the beach, and enjoy the most amazing sunsets imaginable. Wailana Sands is centrally located to shops and restaurants, and is just minutes from the championship golf courses of Wailea and Makena. It is an ideal launchpad to head west toward Lahaina and Kaanapali, north toward the airport, or south to the Wailea area. This is one of the best values in Kihei.

That should have been in caps in the description. Missed that entirely. Days in the 90's very uncomfortable despite 7 fans. Had to close doors when people smoked a couple of doors down, blew into our unit. GREAT POOL. Quiet area. Chickens, roosters, Java Temple Birds, etc. Apparently some of the units had A/C.

We loved our stay here. It had all the things we needed from beach chairs, hats, towels, etc. it was cute and comfortable. While it was generally very clean, I did have to clean greasy finger prints from the kitchen cupboard doors. The bed and couch were quite comfortable and we loved being close to the pool. We also liked that the complex was quite small and quiet. While there was a nice breeze and lots of fans to keep the air circulating, I did wish there was an air conditioner while it was warm at night. I am quite sensitive to heat, though. My husband found the temperature fine without air con. We would stay here again!

This rental property was very clean, cozy, and perfect for my husband & I. We enjoyed our stay. It was easy to check in & the house had all of the essentials you needed. BEST STAY EVER!
WONDERFUL stay! The unit is awesome, it has literally everything you need for a day at the beach towels, camp chairs, beach chairs, small cooler, snorkel gear, bodyboard, beach umbrella, and more, iron and iron board as well, which it was perfect for us to iron our wedding outfit! the kitchen is fully functional and it has all items essential to cook a complete meal! There was always a parking space and the location is perfect, easy drive to anywhere in the island, and there is drugstores, grocery stores, all in 5-10 min drive. You can have meals on the lanai looking at the clean pool, listening to birds and the ocean! Even though there is no AC we slept well and comfortable, in fact, it was great not to have anything making the air drying and super cold. This was my first time booking with vrbo and I gotta say, this unit is the best place I’ve stayed so far, and the most complete for our needs. (Off topic, please visit Haleakala for sunset and stargazing, dress warm and bring the camp chairs for a comfortable sunset watching) Maui no Ka oi!

The property was very well maintained, the condo was clean, spacious and well equipped. We made use of the BBQs and the beach chairs. It was a 2 minute walk to the beach and great location for watching the sunsets. I would definitely stay there again.

Awesome little property just off the beach! Had a great time here. Very clean and had a great kitchen. Bed was super comfortable. Cute and private courtyard. It was a bit far to the grocery store for walking, but the bus stop was close and most people rent cars. Complex drew a friendly and quiet crowd. I would rent this again!

Great stay at a wonderful little condo
My wife and I stayed here for three weeks in late October- early November. This was our second stay. We would definitely recommend it. We were always able to find parking, and getting from the condo to the BBQ's on the beautiful grounds was just steps from the back door. This condo is a perfect little home base to explore and have a blast no matter where our trip takes us. We will certainly be back.

Perfect little condo to call home while on Maui!
This is the second year staying in this condo and I enjoyed it as much as I did last year. It is clean and the kitchen is very well stocked with condiments, food items and cooking, dining supplies. The parking spot is right out side the door as is the laundry room, making both very convenient. Since this unit is on the ground floor, the beautifully manicured back yard is like part of your living space and is never so busy as to feel crowded. It is such a short walk to the beautiful beach and that as well is never crowded and a perfect setting for a nice long morning walk by the ocean. The location is perfect for easy access to all the main roads on Maui and only a few minutes from Costco and the airport. Thank you Kona for providing such an enjoyable space. Irene
