Carrowcullen, The Old Irish Farmhouse
10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (28)
"This was such a wonderful experience to have the opportunity to stay in a beautiful and lovingly restored period home. It truly was like taking a step back in time and like staying in a museum! Trudy was absolutely fantastic and I am so impressed with how she has cared for this home and that she opens it up for others to enjoy this property. My favorite parts were playing the piano by the fire in the living room each night and having our path home blocked by sheep one morning. This is such a...

Crean Cottage - Traditional 150 year old stone cottage of yesteryear
9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (51)
"The location and accommodations are wonderful but the pdf instructions from the owner appear to be out-dated and a little confusing. The directions state that guests need to replace wood or peat used for the tiny stove in the living room - but there were no instructions on where to obtain the replacement fuel. It also seemed unreasonable to ask guests to take their garbage away with them (not just place in a bin outside, but take it away from the premises), and to check the electric meter upon...

Lovely Spacious House in a Fab Sligo location directly on the Wild Atlantic Way
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (36)
"Upon arrival the bedroom smelled of heating oil. We tried opening the window, but was simply too cold. We had to leave the property. We were only there a few hours. We contacted both the property manager and VRBO. We offered to pay for the 1st night and requested a refund for the rest. We contacted the property manager several times but never received a response. Neither helped us and we lost our money. It was a horrible experience:("

"Given the price, this accommodation was okay, but there are a couple of things which should be improved. It wouldn't stop me staying again if these things were addressed and I've messaged the owner directly on this"

Fab Location - Annex of Beach House Aughris - Perfect for Singles/Couples
9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, (24)
"Lovely property on Aughris Head. We were able access locations throughout Co Sligo. It was a bit hard to find initially but the EIR code made it easy (ask the host for this and enter it in Google maps). We loved being surrounded by sheep, green pastures, and the sea. Host was responsive and helpful."

"Sometimes you come across a place that deserves 6 stars and this is one of those places. Incredible location with an incredible host, thanks Gillian and family for looking after us for our two week stay. We already miss this cottage and can't wait to get back. Deer in the garden (if your up early enough), horse's to feed and birds to listen to. Relax infront of the fire with a book or make use of the strong wifi in every room.
