"Good value. The doors are really loud no matter how gently you try to close them. The walk to city centre is on a very busy road, but the upside is there plenty of shopping close to the hostel. "

"This property is brand new and in mint condition. It’s walkable to Galway City center, but it’s a long walk. I recommend the bus which is clean, inexpensive and runs frequently. This place was a great option for families with teens."

A once in a lifetime trip with adult children/spouses and this space was large enough for the 7 of us and it is close enough to walk to public transit around Ireland. Easy to communicate with and check in/check out easy. Part of our group ended up delayed by a day but part of us made it and check in and communication was everything! Please note that by American standards the bathrooms/showers are small but there are enough that the space works...

"Staying at this Castle was a highlight of our trip. It has been updated with comforts as much as possible. We had a nice warm stay. This is a true standing castle rich with history. Perfectly located outside galway. Barry was an excellent and resposive host. I think he was just as exciting for us as we were to stay. I omly dinged cleanliness because its an ancient castle. If dust in the corners isn't expected, this is not the place for you. Book It!"

"We stayed for three nights in this lovely home. The unfortunate part of this stay is that we barely had any hot water while we were there. We had to take cold showers based on the way the heating system worked. We shower in the evening and could get a warm show to save our lives. It made it tough at the end of a long day. "Due to the power cuts we had to book in to a hotel instead of staying at the in laws. We needed one near the hospital to visit my mother in law. Was only a 30 minute walk to the hospital and was a really nice walk. Hotel was lovely, can’t fault it."

"The staff were fantastic, the hotel was immaculately clean and a great location. A special shout out is required, due to a jet lag we kept strange hours the first few days in Galway, the late night team, in particular Jonathan and Tyrese provided outstanding customer service without batting an eye to our strange hours and are the reason we will without a doubt be returning to the Harbour Hotel. Thank you both, and look forward to visiting again soon! "
