"Overall this was a good hotel. The location is excellent, in the Gothic Quarter. The room wasn't large but adequate, clean, and modern, including some USB outlets. Good shower with water pressure and temperature quite responsive. I was in a back room, so it was quiet - not sure about noise if one overlooked the street. Generally the staff was helpful. Lots of eateries around the area. Two small complaints: the towels are thin, well below average even for a budget hotel. And when I checked out...

"This is our second time staying at Hotel Colon and it continues to amaze. It’s been upgraded since our last stay so it’s even better. The location can’t be beat and staff very friendly and helpful. It rained while we’re there and it’s such a great touch that they would even lend you an umbrella to use so you can stay dry. Definitely worth staying there every time we’re in Barcelona especially with the beautiful cathedral view. A in our book. "

We like the friendly staff, advising us be careful of thief, the HUGE room (enough for 3 persons) and the elevator safety measures. Will recommend to our friends.
