We booked this property because of its amenities and we used them all: paddle boarding to the mangroves from the property, kayaked with the dolphins in front of the property, biked to the downtown and beyond on the wonderful bike path, used cooler and umbrella and beach chairs to drive to Balandra beach. The property is super clean! The staff is very friendly! The room is comfortable and nice hot shower. Great shared rooftop space to watch sunsets or watch for dolphins. The bonus was the delicious breakfasts shared with other guests. The host, Leanne, would join us for fun conversations. We stayed for 6 nights and Leanne and her dogs became a welcomed family for the week. We highly recommend this lil gem in La Paz!

We enjoyed our stay at Casa Kootenay. Leeanne is an excellent host and had good recommendations for wonderful tacos. Breakfast was excellent - fresh fruit and juices every day along with yogurt/granola then a hot dish.

What a wonderful place to stay and fully deserving of its great reputation. The owner, Leeanne is charming and knowledgeable with a keen eye for detail. For example: a guest was checking in with celiac disease. Leeanne's kitchen is cross-contaminated, and so she arranged for breakfasts that had been cooked in a gluten-free kitchen to be brought in for that guest. Alma, the cook, provides wonderful hot Mexican breakfasts. The beds are very comfortable and there are big jugs of bottled water distributed around the property. We parked on-street with no problems. Leeanne has quite a bit of equipment available to borrow and we used her bikes a few times. Not performance bikes, but they get the job done. The roof patio is glorious and a wonderful place to hang out. While it's a bit of a walk to get to the Malecon (yay bikes!), the beach in front is very walkable, and there is kind of a mangrove park an easy walk away. This is in a residential neighborhood- quiet and safe. Staying with Leeanne, you see the La Paz she loves- with the wonderful people, the terrific food and the incredible bucket list of outdoor adventures available. Stay here. You won't regret it.

Loved our stay at this beachfront BnB! We stayed as a couple for 3 nights during a 2 week road trip. Extremely comfortable beds, amazing breakfast and accompaniments (so many sauces, tea, cereals to choose from) and so many spaces to hang out. The beach day offerings and bikes were amazing as well, we didn’t use everything but had we stayed longer surely would have!

Casa Kootenay is a beautiful property located right on the sandy beach of El Conchalito. It’s a beautiful property that includes the use of their on-premise bicycles, kayaks, paddle boards as well as other activities. The best part of this facility is the staff. Leanne and her team were gracious hosts throughout the entire stay. They were very accommodating to dietary and travel needs and provided a wealth of information regarding local tours as well as various activity and dining options. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to an opportunity to stay here again.

We had an amazing time at Casa Kootenay. It was beautiful and relaxing, and the neighbourhood felt safe and quiet. There are just a couple of rooms so it felt intimate but still social—ideal! We had access to everything we needed, including bikes which we used to bike into/out of town in about 15 minutes. Leanne was a fantastic host and it was great waking up to breakfast every morning. Also, baby tortoises! We hope to make it back one day.

This is a wonderful B&B LeeAnne is wonderful. If you want to relax this is the place. The veranda is wonderful, if your lucky you might see dolphins swimming in the bay. You can walk to 2 wonderful restaurant's La Posada and La Mariva. The large grocery store is within walking distance. Overall try it, you won’t be disappointed.

What a gem! This property is jaw dropping gorgeous from the beautifully appointed house and guest rooms to the million dollar views. It completely exceeded our expectations & is easily worth double what we paid. Delicious breakfasts where we met interesting friendly people, borrowed the kayaks & paddleboard & swam & paddled in the bay right in front of the house. We had vacationed in La Paz before & loved it, but stayed in hotels where we didn't get the relaxing stay we were looking for. This B & B was perfect & we'll return with our adult kids or friends next time.

What an amazing 15**** STAR retreat, My husband and I were very impressed with the large room, authentic decor, super comfortable beds, mini fridge, beach towels, house coats, books, games, paddle boards, kayaks....I could go on and on... Oh Yes, AND ALL on the BEACH.. Very clean bathroom, bedroom.and entire Casa. The dinning area is where the best breakfasts are cooked by the host/owner. Every single thing was "on point". The Decor in the dinning area is Magnificent. There is an abundance of interesting items that will keep your jaw dropped in amazement.The vibe is so tranquile. Surround that with the most helpful lovely owner and assistant. We were so happy and grateful.. i can't wait to return.

Leeanne was very accomodating during my stay. She takes great pains to connect with all guests, makes suggestions as to where to eat or explore. What most impressed me was that she has thought about the little things a guest might need and provides them. IE a touch lamp with 5 pulg-in's for electronics, bathrobes, little fridge pre filled with chilled water, small safe....all those things you never knew you needed. Additionally, her home is tastefully and beautifully decorated with items from her own travels. Subtle touches that make the place feel like home.

Leeanne has a way of making the experience of staying with her at Kootenay magical. She arranged lovely breakfasts, where all the guests would eat, chat and laugh together. Casa Kootenay is a delightful place. The hostess makes you feel right at home. The breakfasts are delicious and authentically Mexican. The rooms are clean and the beds soft and comfy. It has beach access, great views and is in walking distance to the Malecon restaurant and shopping district. There's a private courtyard with a pool and an outdoor kitchen for guest use. Just a beautiful, comfortable place to stay.

This place is a gem!
Loved my stay here! Fabulous breakfast, comfy beds, and the ambiance alone is worth the visit. The rooftop terrace overlooking the water is the perfect place for morning coffee and evening wine drinking. walk out the back door and you're off for a stroll along the beach. Leeanne was awesome--lots of shared tips for food and fun and just all around good hospitality.
