Hotel is fairly new. Not fancy, but good hotel for the price. My primary issue is that our bathroom…it had a sliding barn door which did not provide much privacy, and the sink was in the bathroom which keeps two people from using the space at one time. We prefer suites that have the sink and mirror outside the room where the toilet and shower are. For a suite, it would have been nice to have a design that devoted more space to the bathroom and less to the kitchenette which we did not use at all. There was no additional sitting space in the suite. For one person, the suite would be fine. The layout could have been better designed for two people staying there. Having said that, we would stay there again if ever in the area.

The staff is friendly and hotel and rooms are always super clean. Our go to stay close to the Casinos when staying in Lake Charles.

I got there to check in at 4:30 and the lady said my room wasn’t ready. I believe check in was for 3:30. Fortunately I had plans so I told her I would be back later that evening. Also when I arrived in room the chemicals smell was very overwhelming. I appreciate my room being very clean but it was excessive. The receptionist in the morning and checking in was not friendly at all.

This hotel was kept up very nice as far as cleanliness. The staff wasn't so friendly upon our welcome or at breakfast. They seemed annoyed that we pushed the bell to call someone to assist us. Other than that, everything was just fine. Not sure about the area but wasn't far from Lake Charles.

Unfortunately the biscuits were bricks on the buffet and not scrambled eggs 😕 but silver dollar pancake eggs. But tasted good other than biscuits and gravy. Yucck

We booked there due to 9.4 stars. We arrived to find wallpaper patched in hallway falling off the wall - 4 ft x 6ft section. Peeling and has been this way quite a while. Newer facility but they never finished our room. Cabinet doors only had one handle but the other three cabinets were drilled and no handles making it hard to open the doors. The bathroom door still had its label on it and had never even been painted. Not at all what I’d expect for 9.4 stars.

Decent place for a 1-2 night stay. Very close to attractions and casinos. Food selection in the surrounding areas are not that great. The cleaning services do not change the sheets until the 3 night which is odd. Also, the showers could use a bit of updating. The drains are in the middle of the shower floor, and were a bit dirty. All in all, I would give this a 3.8
