"The property is charmingly unique. Although undoubtedly old, the rooms and furnishings are full of character and amazingly spacious. The balcony view over Lake Garda is fabulous and everchanging. All seven of us could stay there all day. The town is well situated for day trips around the lake and to the Dolomites. And Jeanne was gracious, available, full of information and very personable. It was a one-of-a-kind experience which we really enjoyed even more than the subsequent Italy/Greece...

"This villa was spectacular. The view was breathtaking all the rooms were large, comfortable and well appointed. There was a great balcony with a large table and seating area where you could see beautiful sunset views. The kitchen had everything you need and then some. There is a very nice pool which was great to come home to after a day in the sun. The villa is a short walk to central Bardolino and many restaurants and shops. "8 of us stayed at the villa. The hosts were very helpful and responsive. Everything was clean and the hosts offered to refresh towels and linens halfway through our stay (even though there are a washer and dryer available to us at the house). The grounds, view, and lake were pristine and a joy to wake up to daily. Without a car we walked into Gardone Riviera and took the ferry to other towns around the lake. "Incredible location right on the lake and easy walk into Salo. A beautiful town with magnificent promenade and shop lined narrow streets. The villa is dated and in need of repair, however it does add to the charm of the place. We loved our stay and being a group of friends together was magical."

Lightbulbs not working, clock not working, beds not made up.TV not set up with internet channels (luckily my son knew how to set this up but this should have been done). General sloppiness and no attention to detail. Two back bedrooms dark and miserable. One behind the garage and the other only accessible by going through another bedroom. "Die Lage vom Haus war toll. Allerdings gibt’s keine Klimaanlage im Haus. Es war unerträglich heiß. Dazu kommen noch tausende von Stechmücken. Moskitonetze an den Fenstern wären zwingend notwendig. Unschön war auch das man keinen Zugang vom Garten in den See hatte. Fazit insgesamt. Völlig überteuert für das was geboten wurde."
