We come to lake placid often and stayed here before. Room service messaging is confusing and the front desk person was arguing about it which did not leave a great impression. Someone should correct the grammar of communication. The facility itself is renovated, decent size rooms. Traveled with our baby and my service dog.

Property recently renovated. Lobby areas seem well done and comfortable. Rooms were minimalist which was fine. However, room renos seem hastily done or kind of low bid. Outer door had paint lines where locks had been updated; bathroom door seemed mis matched. Base trim was hastily painted. It was clean and fine for my purposes but 1st impression was care to details were missing.

Main issue was parking. There are too few spots, made worse by the fact that a mound of snow seems to take up 3-4 of them. Staff tried to help, but steered me towards a public lot at Starbucks that’s >5 minute walk away. I understand it was a weekend, and there are events going on in the area, but disappointing, nonetheless.

The common areas looked nice however the carpet in the room was torn and frayed, the lamp was wobbly and overall the hallways were dingy. Staff was friendly. Upgraded to a queen suite and thought the room would be nicer but had to walk through an unfinished area to get to the room. Pool was closed.

This hotel is right in the middle of all the activities and shops. We loved our stayed here, however the people in the front desk were not pleasant or informative. They should train them to have a better customer service specially because the hotel is really nice and clean.

Horrible service and management. We arrived to non working pool, were given free breakfast voucher for the next day but there was no breakfast being served the next day. Asked for the refund for the outside breakfast, was told it will be processed and shockingly it never was. The heaters in the rooms are super loud and if the hotel happens to actually serve breakfast it’s pretty awful. Don’t get fooled by the pretty pictures.

The location to Main Street is great for walking to dinner, shops, and seeing the Olympic hockey venue - even in the snow! There is also a shuttle stop right outside that takes you to Whiteface Mountain for skiing. The rooms were very comfortable and the view of the lake was spectacular. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed the entire experience of the hotel and especially the city of Lake Placid.

Great location, walking distance to restaurants, shops and lakefront. Cozy lounging areas on main floor. Coffee and tea available all day. Comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. Only issue is not enough parking spaces to guarantee a spot for all guests. Would definitely return!

To start things off this place is very noisy and the walls are paper thin so you could hear people in the other room breathing at night and flushing the toilet and the water running down the pipes and also the children stomping around and running/walking upstairs. It is an old hotel that has been renovated. The heater inside the room was so old and making extreme noises constantly so we just turned it off completely.
