"Excellent hotel and well placed in Lake Tekapo. We were greeted by friendly staff who kindly showed us to room. Our room was located on the upper floor, so came with the skylight which allows you to star gaze. The views from the large window are stunning and is a huge plus when staying here. The beds were comfortable and provided a relaxing night's sleep. The breakfast is freshly cooked to order, whilst there is also a self-service area with toast, fruit and yoghurt. More than enough choice for my wife and I. The hotel is located around a 10 minute walk to the main bars/restaurants. "

"We stayed in an en-suite twin room at Haka House Lake Tekapo and found it spacious, clean, and well-located. The room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and the en-suite bathroom was a great plus. Only downside was the heater—it seemed to turn off automatically after an hour, which made the room a bit cold during the night, especially in the autumn chill. Still, a solid and peaceful stay in a stunning location. Would recommend, especially if you’re prepared for cooler nights!"
