"Our trip to this hotel was overall a pleasant experience, however a couple of items regarding this hotel need to be addressed. 1. The carpets areceorn and dirty, they need changing or at the very least cleaning. 2. The hot water in the shower takes too long to heat up (approximately a minutes) 3. The shower needs updating as the tiles are dirty and the sealant needs replacement. 4. On the plus side, excellent food, courteous service from the staff, and good atmosphere. The room we were...

"Very welcoming farming couple who go out their way to make sure everything is OK. Fantastic wholesome farmhouse meals provided. Location is very remote and strongly recommend asking if you can view the old waterwheel during your stay (you'll need a torch!)"

"Contrary to some reviews i have read about this establishment, we were very impressed! The staff were really lovely and very helpful, friendly and efficient. The room was clean,well appointed and quiet. We ate there both evenings of our stay and i honestly couldn't fault our meals in any way. Simply delicious and plenty of it. Breakfast was also very good and massive! We will definately be staying here again and i thouroughly,wholeheartedly reccommend it to anyone. Well done Burrator inn."

"Parking was limited to 3 narrow spaces at the rear of the guesthouse but there is the option of residents parking in a nearby street (we were given a residents parking permit). We were in an en-suite room in the basement, with use of the fridge and microwave in the basement kitchen area which was useful. There were a couple of cobwebs in the corners of the room but the shower, toilet, sink and bed were spotless. Breakfast was great, with a varied menu. The dining room was clean and welcoming....

"I could not praise the staff here more, despite my room not being available till lunch that day, they were more than happy for me to come down earlier to pick up my room key and drop off my bags before a day at university. Not only were the staff welcoming and the hospitality warm and comforting, the staff often went above and beyond to help, and were happy to engage in conversation. "Lovely room so able to relax. Good communication from the hotel - it wasn't open the night I stayed but I was sent details of the keypad for the front door & key to the room was available. A list of food delivery options was provided as food not served that night. Tea/coffee in the room plus toiletries.
