Leith Hotel Guide - Romantic Hotels in Leith, Edinburgh

"Restaurant was closed lunch and dinner. Bar food average. Reception staff off hand about luggage as we had a few suitcases and need to use back carpark n staff door at the bk to bring luggage through. We had a twin room which was fine. The double room was freezing n had an old radiator and very drsighty window. (Rm221). We were perplexed as we approached hotel as there is no direct sign to car park. Name of hotel on side wall not over door at front entrance. Later we saw Malmaison on side of front door but not visible on approach. We had to ask someone passing by if it was the Maison. Breakfast expensive but a good choice. Bar drinks, were weak a bit tasteless. Good location, due to Storm one could not go out. Nor attend Rabbi Burns event of RYB. Dissapointing the hotel didn't celebrate Scotland's finest Bard in someway. In all some of staff on reception need to be more helpful."

"Lovely hotel that is ideally situated in a lovely square with cafes and restaurants within easy reach of the main town. Good facilities and it is worth having a castle view room. Good choice at breakfast with lots of fresh fruit and hot choices. Staff are friendly and helpful and went above and beyond for my 60th Birthday stay especially Alistair on Reception. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again if visiting Edinburgh. "
