This was a very good property. The ocean front room with a balcony is the way to go. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

The room had a terrible smell. After having the worst day, I decided to not complain the same night. The next morning I showered in the smallest shower know to man, and the shower head kept falling off and hitting me in various parts of my body. The room had a nice bed but that was the only decent part of this room, except the obvious nice views. But I could barely open my window, they had a limiter. I’d really like a partial refund tbh. When I mentioned this in the am, they barely responded let alone in a way that made me feel better

I didn’t like that I couldn’t pay for my reservation until after four. I didn’t even want to drop anything off in the room just take the payment. The evening staff were wonderful and got us paper plates and offered utensils when I asked for some napkins for dinner we ordered in. Overall still a wonderful getaway.

Rooms were older than expected based on website photos, but clean. We loved our oceanfront view, large windows, and listening to the waves at night. Best part of entire hotel is the sandy firebowl area above the beach. Gorgeous.

Like many hotels along the coast, Coho shows some signs of wear. But our room was comfortable and tastefully decorated in a minimalist style. Hey, they won me over with the French press coffee maker in our room. (relieved it wasn’t one of those Keurig machines ). The hotel appeared to have been recently painted inside and out. There’s are pleasant seating areas in gas fire-pits along on the cliff edge for Coho guests. Ground floor rooms have a small patio seating area outside a sliding door, but the upper rooms do not, though they do have large windows that slide open. If you like an open window all night, an upper floor room might feel safer as the screen doors on the ground level rooms do not lock. The complementary breakfast was better than some others, with many hot and cold options The cook kindly went out of her way to make eggs for us, even though we arrived in the dining area a minute past 10 AM, when breakfast service was supposed to have ended. It was my first time staying at Coho. No big wow factor, and our room was not spacious. Just a bed, couch and coffee table. The only real problem for me was the light by the bathroom mirror was too dim for putting in contacts or applying makeup, so I used a small wall mirror near the sliding exterior door and relied on daylight. I liked having a kettle for boiling water for our evening tea and morning French press coffee. Coho felt safe and clean, and we had a good sleep. I would consider staying there again.

So I stayed here with the intent on skimboarding at the beach and relaxing. In those regards, it was perfect. The beach was literally a 3-4 minute walk from the hotel, very quick and easy to get to. I got a 2 bedroom suite with a kitchenette ( which was small, but did the job). When I say small, I mean that there was a 2 burner stove top, and a small mini fridge under it. There was also a small sink, and some pots and pans, dining ware and utensils for use. For 1 or 2 people cooking small meals, it's totally fine. The bathroom had a bit of a weird configuration and was small, but for me alone it wasn't a problem at all. Privacy is a bit lacking, but even for 2 people it's not an issue. My room was clean, comfortable, and had a great view of the beach below. I was also surprised at how comfortable the mattress was. Definitely better than any other hotel mattress I've slept on. There was also a fireplace in my room which was very nice - I accidentally fell asleep one night with the balcony door open and the fireplace on and was comfortable all night. The grounds in the back were very nice, offering a grass area, a dog area and 4 fire pits, 1 on a patio and 3 in the sand. The management people I interacted with were friendly, knowledgeable and outgoing. I'll definitely be going back.
