"I was tasked with finding a place to stay for our family to celebrate our son's wedding weekend. I looked for a place that would sleep at least 8 (Cedar Retreat sleeps 10), had adequate space and bathrooms (open floor plan and 3 bathrooms), air conditioning, and a good size kitchen with nice appliances. "Great location for ice fishing and snowmobile riding. Up North Lodge restaurant/bar is only minutes away with a great menu selection.We rented two cabins which were perfect for our party of 8. Kitchens are a bit small, but have everything you need for cooking meals. Host was great to work with."

"The lake, dock, view, canoe, fire part and deck were great. So was the setting. I'd highly recommend from that standpoint. The cabin is dated but overall it had a good cabin feel with a great view from the dinning room table. But the plumbing was less than desirable. Very hard to get a good temp in the shower and low pressure. The floors are very squeaky and doors were hard to close. I made the mistake of thinking the cabin was closer to Marquette so made for long drives back and forth. But...

"Owners are good people and live at this home full time. The upstairs apartment is cozy. Their 2 pitbulls will sound the alarm whether at the door to the apartment from inside while you shower, use the back bedroom, or as you pull in the driveway, or when you go downstairs to get something from your vehicle..... Pen was built, but used once in awhile. Had to stop and wait in the driveway for owner to casually corral the corral the dogs before getting out of my vehicle my vehicle. "

"Cabin 5 is the one to choose. It is more private than the others. The privacy fence is a gift, and the back/hot tub view is picturesque. "This home was a wonderful stay for an extended family vacation. The home was spacious and well stocked. The outside area was wonderful. Our only negative feedback was regarding the lake, this is more of a fishing lake than a water sports lake in our opinion, and our boat was too large for this lake. Not the fault of the owners and we were able to enjoy their pontoon for the week which was very nice! However we would not bring our boat back to this location. Otherwise the stay was perfect!"
