"This hotel is closed. I booked on Expedia. Went to the hotel on 14 July to check-in. The gates were locked. The rooms were padlocked & a woman yelled at me from a window "closed" I then had to find other accommodation carrying a backpack in terrible heat. "Great location and very upscale. Beautiful hotel and I had this amazing room where I could watch the monks on early AM rounds. Staff was best I have seen at hotels and really loved Luang Prabang. I could have stayed for a month or more, Staff helped with tourism and restaurant excellent as well. Highest Rating"

"We had a wonderful time at Hillside Lodge. It is in stunning countryside (note there is a slightly bumpy 20-30 minute drive from Luang Prabang but we found this to be an added part of the adventure) with a great pool to cool down in either after a days activity or to relax around all day.
