"We had a wonderful time at Hillside Lodge. It is in stunning countryside (note there is a slightly bumpy 20-30 minute drive from Luang Prabang but we found this to be an added part of the adventure) with a great pool to cool down in either after a days activity or to relax around all day. The team are amazing and weren’t super helpful in arranging transfers and activities. "It is a beautiful property but our driver got lost for over an hour in the dark and the two phone numbers on Expedia were incorrect. The owner was nice but could have apologized, or offered a welcome drink instead of blaming Expedia and us. She tried to charge us for the room which we had already paid for as well..."
