A very disappointing home stay
While the location was delightful, the house itself was disgracefully dirty. the host's excused it's state because it was advertised as a ' farm stay '. I grew up on a farm, and one of my friends was raised on a property close to Benalla. We both agreed that we would not stay a second night. And incidentally we were not reimbursed

Fantastic Easter weekend
Beautiful and relaxing property. My family and I enjoyed a lovely stay over the Easter weekend. Anne was very responsive to my queries and David even came down to assist us when we had some vehicle trouble. Would definitely recommend!

Fun at 50
A great get away for 20 young at heart nearly 50 year olds. Plenty of room to relax and have a glass of wine. Beautiful scenery-great night around the camp fire, with plenty of dancing.

Love at Lurg sight
Our group of 3 families had a lovely time at the Barn at Whispering Hills. From the scenic views of rolling hills and rainbows to daily visits to surrounding area, we all thoroughly enjoyed our 4 days away. Small issues with gas and lightbulbs were rectified immediately, and owners were easy to reach and to talk to. Thanks for letting us stay :)

Wonderful and quiet stay
Whispering hills was truly such a wonderful place to get away from the city and enjoy the beautiful views. The owners were very easy to reach at all times and incredibly kind. The actual house was a delight to be in, we were a group of 16 and fit perfectly into all the rooms. Thank you so much to Anne and David for such an easy and relaxed stay!

The property was comfortable & quiet -just what we need when you are competing -close enough to Winton raceway & Benalla without noise disturbance. There was a problem with the hot water & the hosts dealt with it immediately-

Long Weekend
We stayed for 3 nights with a large group of friends. Really great property, very relaxing . Perfect for a large group or family. Could easily stay at the property and not venture out, but there are some beautiful places to visit around the area. Would definitely return.

Rustic charm but room for improvement
We enjoyed staying at the barn and visiting the surrounding King Valley, the house has lots of rustic charm and is nice and private. However, I would not recommend such a big group as there's not enough room. The ad was incorrect with the bedding configurations and the two double fold out beds were extremely springy. I had to reareange furniture to fit the single fold out beds in the bedrooms and it was very squishy. There wasn't enough towels and no top sheets for half of the beds. We followed the exact instructions of using the temperamental oven, but it kept turning off which made cooking for a large group difficult. It was very hot with only 2 rooms having air con, so something to consider if visiting in Summer. Anne was friendly and helpful though when I messaged her to raise the issues. Overall we had a fun time and enjoyed our stay but there were some issues.

We had such a relaxing weekend with our family here. The views are spectacular and the house was lovely and comfortable, with ample room for all 8 of us. It's a great place for a quiet getaway with friends or family.

Quaint, but needs some work.
Roomy and quaint with a great remote peaceful location. Easy to find and good communication from the owners. However the place needs some maintenance and cleaning for what the cost is.
