"The hotel has recently (2 or 3 weeks ago) been taken over by a new owner and they're still in the process of redecorating throughout. When we arrived some areas were still being painted. Some rooms have been done, as has the bar area and restaurant. Our room had been given new furniture but retained the same carpet, bathroom etc. It was very clean (perhaps they re-grouted etc) but very dated. A section of carpet was missing under the wardrobe, but this didn't detract from the excellent service...
