"I’ve stayed at the Inn on St John many times. I have a long commute from home to Portland. I stay when the weather is bad and the travel is dangerous. I like to stay at the inn because the it very affordable, comfortable and very easy to check in, find food nearby and relax in my room. I’ve stayed in many of the rooms large and small and I’ve never had a bad night. Staff are super friendly. The parking is easy. It s also a nostalgic place as I grew up in Portland and My dad was friends with the Lekousi family who owned the Inn. There was a Greek bakery next door. "

"Had a very pleasant stay recently at the Portland Harbor Hotel. The rooms are spacious with a great view of downtown Portland. The front desk service was good and the room rate was reasonable. When I checked in I would have appreciated being told that I needed to use my room key to make the elevator work, but that was a minor issue. It is a little odd that when you arrive with luggage, the main lobby is up one flight of stairs, but Portland is a hilly town. Finally, what amounts to a continental breakfast buffet (with fruit, yogurt and very tasty baked goods) is at the end of every floor and is included with your room. Nice touch!"

"Chose this on a whim for a solo vacation. Friendly staff. Onsite parking. Exercise and wash facilities. Lovely decor in keeping with the Victorian architecture. Quiet. Spacious room. Arcadia is 10 minutes away although the weather was bad this trip. Would choose again"
