"Rooms were larger than normal for Japan. Right next to the train station. Drug Store open late next door. Large shopping mall across the street with a supermarket open 10a to 8p. For the breakfast , dont get there at the stop time as everything is put away. Very few selections and all things that were supposed to be hot were cold. Very low rating for breakfast."

"Lovely old ryokan by the river overlooking the turning bridge and the start of the Amanohasidate trail, right besides the Choin-ji. Staff who spoke little English were fabulous. "A bit of mix reviews here, I’m 1.8m tall so I got hit by the low ceiling wooden plank a few times due to my height. They got no room service, the nearest restaurant doesn’t offer takeaway, the hotel in house restaurant was fully booked. so options were very limited.
