"Lobby restaurant better than roof-top restaurant. Shower very good. Toiletries plentiful. Too many unmarked light and electrical switches. Luckily some seemed to come on automatically. Location is excellent for trains and easy walking access to York Minster and the tourist attractions. National Railway Museum currently very distant to access, due to reconstruction."

"This is quite possibly one of of my favourite hotels we have stayed at in the uk, the staff are welcoming and friendly, the food exceptional and the room, which was one of the rooms in the annexe was spacious and really clean. Will definitely be making another trip here."

"Brilliant location - 5 mins from South Bay beach. Room was basic as dog friendly but was clean, comfortable and had storage. Dogs allowed in bar area. Multi-storey car 5 mins away. Indoor pool at £6 a session. Will definitely come back."
