We had a good stay at this Hotel. The rooms were all clean and tidy. Beds were comfortable. Staff was nice. Bathroom was a little outdated but worked fine. A good place to stay for a few nights if you are exploring the area.

According to the manager at the desk, this property was only taken over by Wyndham in mid February. They have not put their mark on it yet and it is still a budget, roadside motel. Very reasonably priced for the island, but between the carry-over from the previous property and it being off-season it was clearly not Wyndham caliber.

My fiancé and I stayed just for a night to get away and it was so lovely. Our room was so nice and clean! The king bed was so comfy, the thermostat worked perfectly, and the staff was super nice! Definitely coming back!

We ended up walking into our room and immediately setting our bags down and calling to ask for a refund and booking a Hilton further down the road. The room was run down, dirty (smooshed bugs on the walls, stains on the walls, etc) and had a random board nailed across the very poor condition flooring. The outside is run down, pavement is in very poor condition, there is no signage directing people to outbuildings, the light inside the door didn’t work, there’s no sink or mirror in the bathroom and the walls were PAPER THIN. We could hear people walking around and clearing the throat from the room next door. The pictures on Expedia are not a true representation of what this “hotel” (motel) is. Suck it up and spend the extra $40 a night to stay ON the Outer Banks. You won’t regret it but you might regret staying here.

Nice, inexpensive place to stay.

I had a solo one-night stay to help a family member. The facility was clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable. It is an older facility, so understnad that going in, but dont let that be a deterent. My only suggestions would be better lighting in the parking areas.

Hotel Manteo has been a great experience. VERY clean and comfortable room, close to fishing, parks and scenic Old Town. Firetender restaurant on site has a wonderful breakfast and full bar.
