We never received an access code until 45 minutes prior to check in time. It is in a remote area with limited services nearby, which made the situation even more difficult and stressful."

"The space was perfect for our large group. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Great outdoor space and plenty of parking. It is just a quick trip up HWY 44 to Eskimo Hill sledding spot and Lassen National Park. Shingletown has all you would need at the local store also right down the way. The owner was quick to respond and directions on accessing the home were clear and easy. Highly recommend!! "

"From the moment you pull up to the Hobbit Hole you begin to notice all of the care and detail that make this space so magical. The hosts are on the premise and are so kind and make you feel so welcome, so at home. Opening the door to your room is like opening the door to a new world. "My family and I had a great time at the cabin. It is clean, warm and well stocked with everything you could need. The neighborhood was quiet, peaceful and tree filled. The roads are paved and clear right up to the gravel driveway. Communication with the owner was clear and easy. The only "cons" would be the hot water does not last very long so it was a challenge getting a family of 4 showered in the evening after a day of sledding. As mentioned in other reviews the internet could get laggy...

We were offered firewood which we used to have a small barbecue and s’mores outside our room right before we crawled into bed. The mix of homemade food with the suspenseful forest night ambiance made our stay fun and extremely comfortable. "

"This was a perfect pit stop for our road trip. It was even cozier than the photos show. There was a very large fenced yard which was perfect for our dog to run around and stretch his legs. Quiet, comfy bed, lots of amenities, and even a water filtration system for the sink for cleaner drinking water. Communication was great too. Overall, lovely."

"My family and I had a great time at the cabin. It is clean, warm and well stocked with everything you could need. The neighborhood was quiet, peaceful and tree filled. The roads are paved and clear right up to the gravel driveway. Communication with the owner was clear and easy. The only "cons" would be the hot water does not last very long so it was a challenge getting a family of 4 showered in the evening after a day of sledding. As mentioned in other reviews the internet could get laggy so I wouldn't book the cabin if you need to work for any part of your stay, the connection just isn't strong enough for zooms or other computer related work. However it is perfectly fine for aimless scrolling and TV."

"The staff are friendly, the rooms lovely and comfortable. The sound proofing is excellent so our stay was really peaceful. They have a nice breakfast, but we received a text informing us that the restaurant attached was open and serving. We were quite hungry and looking forward to that but were disappointed to find they closed early. Overall we were happy with the hotel and would stay again."
