"My wife and I booked this cabin to watch the April 8th, 2024 total solar eclipse. This was one of the best vacation decisions of our life, we thought we may have to hike a bit, but we were so pleased we could see it right from the deck of the cabin. "We loved our stay at the cabin! The Hucks hospitality made our stay exceptionally enjoyable! They gave excellent restaurant recommendations and we visited the lake bog they also recommend. We also enjoyed walking through the trails on the property. We were disappointed that oddly we seen no wildlife on the property not even a squirrel or rabbit. We loved our stay and appreciate how the Hucks made our stay so very much enjoyable. "

"Used this as base camp for bird hunting in the NMW for a week in October with my dad and his dog. Was a perfect spot to crash at the end of long day in the woods. Comfortable at night, even had the luxury of the TV to watch playoff baseball at night, and the sunrises were amazing every day. Eric was very welcoming of the dog and very quick to answer any questions. Would tell friend s a stay here again."

"This camp was perfect for our moose hunt. You can literally see the access road to the North Maine Woods from the driveway. Plenty of parking, and great view of Portage Lake. The camp was exceptionally clean and well furnished. Beds were comfortable. Would absolutely stay here again."

"The property was great. Everything as advertised. Neat, clean and comfortable beds. Convenient on and off the ITS trail. The only problem was the weather. Already booked for next year. "Was stationed at the air force base 40 years ago. Never knew Echo Lake existed. Finding this cabin, on a lake, across from Aroostook State Park was amazing. Even the neighbor was so friendly. It was just the two of us this time. Would love to bring family back to this property as it could house all of us. Fall colors were just kicking in. No eagle sighting in the nest, maybe next time. Special place to stay and location was perfect to return to at the end of each days activities."

"The cottage was warm, inviting, and exceptionally clean! I felt like I had stepped into Hansel and Gretel's world. The paintings (done by the owner) were amazing, and the decor was top shelf. The bed was comfortable and the cabin itself was roomy. Chef Barbara and Rene were incredibly accommodating. Breakfast was included and I can't possibly describe the food....it was simply amazing. We left early on our last morning and were therefore unable to eat breakfast, so they actually made us brown...
