When you come to the Texas Hill Country, why not stay in...well, the Hill Country? Texas Star is on the same 20 acres as the Guesthaus at White Tail Oaks and The Hideout, but out of view range. This cabin is located about 15 minutes northwest of downtown Fredericksburg near the historic Cherry Springs community.
Guests will enjoy a spacious and open, private cabin with a king size bed, sitting area where you will find a TV w/blue-ray player but no cable reception..(remember, this is why you headed to the country), and kitchenette. Your favorite feature may be the fabulous bathroom with the large whirlpool tub for two or maybe it will be the romantic gas fireplace (Seasonal from mid - Nov to mid - Mar.) The outdoor shower is perfect for cooling off after a long summers day and provides a rare opportunity to be at one with nature.

it was a great experience again, my wife and I stayed last summer and decided to come back again in the cooler months. the only thing that needs attention is the shower head was spraying kinda wonky, and the hot tub inside gave off a foul odor when the jets were turned on but other than that it was awesome and we will for sure be back again in the future.

Beautiful cabin and serene location
We went there for a romantic getaway and it was everything we wanted. The cabin was cozy and the hot tub was a nice touch ( we used it even in freezing temps lol). We had a great time visiting Fredericksburg and the suggestions were very useful.

Absolutely Lovely
My husband and I wanted a quiet getaway for our 19th anniversary. Whitetail oaks was perfect and exactly what we wanted. Quiet, secluded and a peaceful atmosphere. We loved sitting in the rocking chairs on the porch watching the cats, birds, hummingbirds, squirrels and deer eat. Enjoy the hot tub and jacuzzi tub to relax. In the evening cooking on the grill and sitting in front of the fire pit with our music playing looking up at the stars was so relaxing. Gave us time to reconnect and concentrate on each other without the distractions of our busy world. Fredericksburg just a short distance away if we wanted to shop, eat or get anything. Will definitely go again.

Relaxing and quaint
My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 days. We had a great time walking around Fredericksburg checking out all the shops and hiking Enchanted Rock. The cabin was nice and clean and the whole process was very easy to follow for check in and check out I would recommend this place to anyone

Besides the fact of no indoor shower and a poor grill set up the only complaint would be how dusty it was in the cabin . House keeping definitely doesn't dust anything. Witch for people with allergies made it rough .

The property is AMAZING!!! There is an on-call housekeeper that helped us out when we got lost. The place so is so beautiful and only 20 minutes from Fredericksburg gave us a quiet community while still being close to a city for sightseeing! We will most likely come back because we absolutely loved the place so much!!

Perfect get away!
My husband and I rented the cabin for our anniversary and we had a blast! It was perfect for two and we lived that it was secluded. We bought deer corn and lots of deer came to eat we just sat on the poor and watched them it was nice and peaceful. We enjoyed Fredericksburg as well and all the wineries.

Needs work
Needs better ac unit I know it's hot , but over 24 hours into to stay to get cool. Hot tub didn't work. When we first arrived we were checking shelves to see what we needed to buy found a container of leftovers with noodles and some kind of rotten mold covered meat . The back of TV covered in dust wouldn't notice accept you have to turn TV away from wall to see from love seat. The cabin is beautiful but other things detract from that.
