Undulating emerald-green hills, palm trees and an array of colorful boats frame the stunning setting of Meio Beach. Its crystal clear and warm water lures swimmers and snorkelers, while the lovely white sand makes for ideal sunbathing conditions. Bring snorkeling gear to check out the shoals of fish swimming off the coast.
Swim out as far as the rocks and look back on the picturesque stretch of sand. Rent a deck chair and an umbrella for your family and work on your tan. Relax in the shade of the trees and read a book. When you need to boost your energy, order food and drinks from the restaurants scattered along the beach.
Climb onto the rocks that flank the beach and enjoy the excellent views of the stunning coastline from this vantage point. Make your way through the trails that meander through the tropical forest backing onto the beach. A small river leads through the thick vegetation to an adjacent beach.
Walk north for a few minutes to reach the village of Trindade, where you can choose from a few different seafood restaurants and bars. Explore some of the other stunning beaches at the end of the trails leading off from the village.
Find Meio Beach in the gorgeous coastal Trindade area, which is located approximately midway between the cities of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Drive south from Paraty for roughly 15 miles (24 kilometers) to get to the beach within around 40 minutes. Alternatively, take a bus along the scenic coastline to the beach, which is part of the Serra da Bocaina National Park. Leave time to visit other nearby natural attractions, including Pedra que Engole, Cepilho Beach and Cachadaço Beach.
