"A convenient and clean hotel near a major shopping arcade. The room was small even by Japanese standards, but it was comfortable enough and still had a full bathtub. Unusually, it had a separate toilet from the bath/shower room, and the sink was opposite the bed. I think this made the room feel a bit less small. It was also bright and quiet, so I had a comfortable stay."

"Very small room simply decorated, even tinnier shower. Nice view from balcony. Long stairway to second floor rooms, don’t carry heavy baggage. Restaurants hard to find after dark, especially when you drive, impossible to turn into narrow lanes. Kaoshima has amazing museums, but biking and walking are best left for the young and healthy. "
